Think of the Happier Times

The next day at lunch. Riley, Lucas, Zay, and Farkle were sitting together outside. Maya and Smackle walk up to them
Maya - Lucas, can I talk to you...alone?
Lucas - Sure
They walk away near a tree. Riley looks down, she's playing with her food. Zay is sitting next to her, he holds her hand. Riley smiles at him, and puts her head on his shoulder for a second.
Lucas - What's up?
Maya - Do you like me?
Lucas - What?
Maya - I know it's pretty straight forward, but that's the kind of person that I am. I mean you kissed me back in Texas, we went out a couple of times and then it all just stopped.
Lucas - I do like you Maya.
Maya - Really?
Lucas - Yes. I just don't know if I like you the way that you like me. You call me names and make fun of me all of the time. What's that about?
Maya - I don't know, youre just easy to make fun of.
Lucas - Why do you feel the need to be mean?
Maya - I don't mean to be mean to you Lucas.
Lucas - You're confused about my feelings towards you. I think you should re evaluate your feelings towards me. Cause to me, it seems that you don't like me and you just like to make fun of me.
Maya - Well, the only way we can find out how we feel about each other, we have to be alone together. Alone together in a place that we hardly go too.
Lucas - Okay. Let's go out on a date.
Maya - Friday night, 7 ?
Lucas - Sounds good
They smile at each other and walk back to the table where the gang is at. They smile and continue their day.
When school is over, Riley and Maya head to Rileys house where they sat in the bay window
Riley - So you talked to Lucas?
Maya - Yup
Riley - And?
Maya - Were going out tomorrow
Riley - That's great. Isn't it?
Maya - Yeah I think so
Riley - are you nervous
Maya - No
Riley - Good you shouldn't be, this is like your fifth date with him
Maya - Yeah, I wonder what's going to happen
Riley thinks in her head "me too"
Maya - Ill come over tomorrow before and after
Riley - I'll be waiting
Maya leaves out the window and goes home. Meanwhile Riley is still sitting at the bay window, quietly when she decides to get ready for bed. She brushed her teeth, done some homework, read a good book, and is now in bed almost asleep when she heard that noise. The noise that she despised so much it made her grind her teeth until they hurt. The door opens, he walks in, heads to the bed and covers Riley mouth so she won't yell like the first couple of times. He gets into bed with her. Riley sheds tears, and try's to think of the happier times...
