Riley arrives at the bakery and sees that the place is a mess.
Riley - What happened?
Topanga - Were redecorating this place
Riley - Who's idea was that?
Mark - Mine
Riley - Figures
Riley - Mom why are you redecorating? This place doesn't need anything new. It's perfect the way it is.
Some of the workers who were working on painting leave, Topanga walks them out and on the way she says to her daughter..
Topanga - Sometime new is better.
And she gives her a kiss on the cheek. Riley looks down and then up and around the place where she sees Mark already looking at her
Mark - Where's that guy that you went out with on Saturday?
Riley - football practice
Mark - You're not allowed to see him
Riley - Excuse me?
Mark - You are not allowed to speak or see him
Riley - And why not?
Mark - Because you're mine
Riley - I'm not an object that you keep. I don't take orders from you
Mark - Well you're gonna or else very bad things will happen to that little brother of yours
Riley - If you touch him I swear to god I'll be the one going to prison for killing you
Mark - Don't see that kid again
Mark leaves the shop. Riley gets a plate and throws it on the floor, she then gets on her knees and breaks down crying. She realizes that Lucas will be here any minute, as soon as she gets up and fixes herself up, Lucas walks in
Lucas - Woah, what's happening here?
Riley - My mom decided she wanted to fix this place up, even though it's perfect the way it is.
Lucas - Why?
Riley - Not sure
Riley - This place is distracting so let's go to the library or your house
Lucas - We can go to my house
Riley - Okay let's go.
Riley and Lucas arrive to his house. They go to Lucas's room and start to think of ideas for the film project
Lucas - What if we do something like super man vs batman
Riley - And what's the storyline?
Lucas - What if they fight eachother to see who the best super man is.
Riley - and who's gonna playing super man and batman?
Lucas - Zay and I of course
Riley - What if I wanted to be in the movie
Lucas - You can be cat-women
Riley - and who will you be?
Lucas - Batman
Riley - That is so predictable
Riley starts laughing
Lucas - Well okay Mrs. Cat-women, what idea do you have?
Riley - Okay well, let's do something like. A girl really liking a guy, but the guy had feelings for someone else, but by that time it was too late because she got over him. So that guy...
Lucas - Wait, you think my story's predictable? ANY movie that involves a girl and guy having feelings for each other is predictable
Riley - Well than what should we do?
Lucas - Maybe we need inspiration
Riley and Lucas - Zay
They giggle at eachother and try to find Zay for inspiration
Lucas - So how was your date with Alex?
Riley - It was good.
Lucas - What did you guys do?
Riley - He took me to get tapping lessons
Lucas - don't you think that's a little insulting for a first date?
Riley - How so?
Lucas - Well he's basically saying that you suck at tap dancing so he's going to get you classes so you can get better
Riley - no I don't think that was his intention. He said that he overheard me talking about wanting to try tap dancing because I like the noise the shoes make
Lucas - He's stalking you now?
Riley - What? No
Riley laughs out loud. Lucas fakes laugh as if he was joking, but in reality he was being serious
Riley - You don't like him very much do you?
Lucas - What. No he's great.
Riley - Really? Even after he beat you up in front of everyone?
Lucas - Hey! Why does everyone forget the fact that he beat up Zay too.
Riley - Well you don't have to worry about him and I dating.
Lucas - Really? Why?
Riley - I don't really like him.
Zay - Like who?
Zay comes up from behind them
Riley - Hey Zay! So we need your help with the film project. Lucas wants to do Batman vs super man, I want to do something romantic.
Zay - Super heroes against each-other?!? That's a no brainer. I call being Batman
Lucas - No I'm playing Batman
Zay - I AM Batman
Riley - Are we seriously doing this guys?
Lucas - No batman?
Riley - no batman
Lucas - Well then what are we going to do?
Zay - The storyline can be a girls parents get divorced and her mom gets a new boyfriend. The girl doesn't approve so she starts to hRm herself. Like having anorexia and cutting herself
Lucas - Um I think that's a little deep for a high school movie project
Zay - Stuff like this happens all the time. And a lot of people think the best thing to do is brush it off and ignore as if nothing's wrong. People think if hey keep saying "they're fine" they'll actually convince others and themselves that they are when they are far from it
Lucas - that's true I think I caught myself on Tumblr one time and that website is.. bad. What do you think Riles? I think it'll send out a message to those who are afraid
Zay - Yeah Riles, what do you think?
Riley - I really think we should. I mean it's a personal thing, I don't think it would be appropriate for teenagers
Lucas - It's batsman or Zays idea.
Riley - On second thought, I would LOVE to be cat women
Lucas - Awesome! We can start shooting tomorrow. I already have the batsman costume
Riley - Why?
Lucas - Cause its BATMAN
Zay - And of course I already have spider man. I have a cat women costume too, I'm pretty sure you'll fit in it
Lucas and Riley look at Zay with their confusing faces. They don't know if they should take Zay serious or laugh it off.
Riley - Why do you have a cat women costume
Zay - Just in case.
Lucas - In case what? You'd meet a girl to be cat women for Halloween?
Zay - Yes.
Lucas - Okay well lets go, I'm excited to finally wear my costume in public
Lucas walks away, Zay and Riley follow him but Zay stays with Riley to talk..
Riley - What is wrong with you? I told you to not mention my health problems
Zay - Don't forget your mental ones too
Riley looks at Zay with mad eyes, a little sadness in them too. She has a flashback from the time Zay walked in on her in her room.
Zay - What the hell are you doing?
Zay walks up to Riley and throws the blade across the room. He tries to find a towel to cover up the blood with.
Riley - Zay what are you doing? Haven't you ever heard of knocking?!
Zay - Why are you doing this to yourself? Your keeping secrets, your cutting yourself, your not eating, what the hell is going on in that pretty little head of yours Riley!
Riley - It is none of your business
Zay - It is you wanna know why? Because I'm your friend. You made me feel welcomed when I first came here! You're an amazing beautiful smart girl Riley. Why are you hurting yourself.
Riley - You noticed I wasn't eating?
Zay - Riley, you lost so much weight look at you, I can break your arm in half and I wouldn't even have to try hard!
Riley stays quiet and looks down for a second
Riley - Please don't tell anyone
Zay - Riley, I can't do that. I kept your parents divorce a secret but I can not keep THIS to myself and I won't keep it to myself. So either you tell your parents or I will
Riley - if I get help on my own will you promise you won't say a word
Zay - How would I know if your getting help?
Riley - You can come with me
Riley - Please Zay, please don't say anything
Zay - First thing tomorrow we're going to get help
Flashback over.
Riley - I know it's a lot that you have to keep my secrets, I'm just not ready to tell anyone yet.
Zay - Well I don't like not telling everyone, especially Maya.
Riley - I will not tell her, she just wouldn't understand. She thinks I'm perfect because I have two parents and a house and I grew up with some money and blessed and all these things. She'd call me selfish
Zay - I love you Riley, and I hate seeing you the way you are.
Riley - You never said that to me before
Zay - What? You thought I didn't love you?
Riley - I knew you did.
Zay - How so?
Riley - Your standing here.
Zay leans in to give Riley a hug. It was meaningful, its was beautiful. Riley felt safe for a second, and relieved. Zay was happy that he could help, he wanted happy Riley back.. everyone did.
