"So...did the professor mention what abilties this rogue mutant has?" I asked as we arrived at the location. "He said that she is dangerous and to not get into close contact of her. He wasn't very specific." Logan explained breifly. "Yeah, clearly." I mumbled before I sniffed around. The woods, a place where i could easily track something or someone down without even lifting a paw. "Can you spot anything I can't?" Logan asked as we walked about the scene. "Not yet..." I whispered, I felt if i wasn't 100% focused on the situation I would screw up easily...like that night all those years ago. No, focus Hazel. Now is not the time to go into one of your daydreams...no, not a daydream. More like a daynightmare. Which doesn't really make any sense because it has day and night in the same word but that doesn't matter right now.

"I'm getting some sort of...feedback." I chose my wording carefully. "What do you mean?" Logan questioned. "I don't know...I'm smelling something new, it's weird because i don't even know what it is." I looked at Logan for some sort of help. I mean i knew he would be able to smell it too if he tried. It smelt like a weird mixture of violets and...metal? That's so strange, I mean, it must have been some sort of residue this mutant was leaving behind...which means a trail! "Follow me." I stated before running off in wolf form. I could just sense Logan's smirk before he started running after me.

"So, the mutant is leaving behind some sort of trail?" Logan asked me as I got to the end of the trail. This was not normal, even for a mutant. I mean, the trail just ends. It's like when Kurt teleports, he just bamfs he leaves behind this weird metallic smell but this was found like a path is found on a map. It was like it was made for us. Was it? "Logan, you don't think the mutant wanted us to come here...do you?" I turned to him, i was kind of scared now. What if this was a trap. "Oh no." Logan mouthed. "Shit!" I saw a girl behind Logan appear out of a purple mist with a knife in her hand. "Logan, move!" I launched myself at him, causing him to fall before the knife could hit him. "You do realise that was totally unesscary, right?" Oh...yeah, super healing. "You're welcome." I responded sarcastically. He just scowled at me, we still had a rogue mutant to deal with.

"Hazel, flank her!" Logan barked at me. Turning into my wolf form, I ran around the other side of her so Logan could corner her. But she just laughed maniacally and bamfed, but we could see her moving in some purple gasous form. Or...at least I could. Logan looked so confused, like a flash bomb had been thrown in his face. "Can you see her?" Logan shouted at me, as if he couldn't hear himself think. The vein in his head was practically bulging from the strain of the pain he was in. Then it hit me, like a smell that was trying to choke you. It smelt of violets and blood, like a stronger version of the one i smelt before. It was the residue and I think it was either poisonous or intoxicating. Before I knew it, Logan had passed out on the floor. I got knocked out from behind...I should have kept an eye on that bitch.

-A couple hours later-

"Wakey wakey, sleepy-head." Someone was gently slapping me awake. For a second I saw a flash of my mom. But she wasn't really there. I knew she wasn't. The girl was there once i snapped out of it...in my mother's place. I was chained to the wall, i tried to shift out of it but the scent the girl left behind had somehow paralysed my shifting. "She's quite something ain't she?" a deadly familiar voice asked me. Oh no, that voice...it only haunted me in my nightmares. The ones I had every night, that relived the nights he would torture me. Abuse me, tell me i was worthless. Even though, once upon a time, i trusted him and he did the same for me. I let him take care of me...but now, he was just a nightmare, something that haunted me in my dreams. I never wanted to see his face again. But today, was going to be one of those days.

"Sabertooth..." I seethed. The monster stepped out of the shadows, an evil grin plastered on his face. The bastard...how dare he show his face to me again. "Hey Hazel. Long time no see. I guess the hunters I sent for you could never get to you." That bastard! He was the one that had been ruining my life for the past two years. Forcing me to stay away from my family...my pack. I was supposed to be protecting them! But the only thing I could do was stay away from them to protect them! This was bullshit! Absolute bullshit!
