I was drowning, I had sunk to the bottom and in self-defence, I had turned into a wolf in the process. My lungs burned for air, no one was in the pool and I could see the beauty in the sunrays shining through the water. Too bad it was killing me to see it. Before I could black out I saw a figure dive into the water, grabbing me around my waist as I changed back into a girl. My eyes met actual sunlight, oxygen not meeting my lips as I blacked out.

"Hazel! Hazel! Fraulein!" I heard Kurt shouting at me and multiple other people as well. When I came to, which must have been mere moments later. Everyone was crowded round me and Logan, who was dripping wet. Guess I can thank whoever saved me now. I sat up, rubbing my eyes. "...are you okay?" Logan asked me, worry laced in his eyes. "I'm fine." I croaked. Coughing up more water. Kurt rubbed my back as I did so. "What did you call me?" I asked Kurt suddenly. "Fraulein?" he questioned. "Uh okay...whatever. I'm fine, everyone can go back to their usual stuff." I coughed, touching my hair to brush a hand through it. But all I felt was frizz. "Shit." I whispered. Instead of my regular brown and gold wild hair, I was met with what closely resembled an afro. "SHIT!!!!" I screamed, loud enough for birds a mile around us to fly away from in fear.

-later-

We were sat in the rec room; the fire was lit to keep us warm from the cold nights even though it was summer. I had my hood pulled up tight around my crazy hair, even though I tried to restrain it in a bobble, it burst out at the end. Kurt had bamfed off somewhere, retrieving random objects from the house as if it were a game. So far he had collected: a box of Logan's cigars, Kitty's diary (which she had taken back for safe keeping), a pair of Rogue's gloves, Bobby's ice skates (why does he need those), one of Pyro's lighters and my journal. Which was riddled with scratches and pieces of forest. "This thing stinks." Kitty picked it up, keeping it far from her face whilst handing it to me. "Hold up, I've had these since I was six years old. My mom gave it to me..." I trailed off, realising how much I actually missed her. As if Kurt could feel my misery from a mile away, he bamfed into the room with what appeared to be a guitar. "I vound this in the attic!" He announced excitedly.

He tried to play it, only to drop it in grimace as it let out a screechy cord, causing him to cover his ears. "It's not tuned properly." I glanced at the instrument, itching to play it, I picked it up. "You can play?" Rogue asked with her southern accent. "It's been a while but yeah, I can play." I smiled whilst tuning it. My ears focused on the sound of the strings as I tuned it. I then started to strum the tune in a rhythm. It let out a beautiful melody, helping bring a smile to my face again in the glow of the fire.

"Play something for us!" Kitty begged. "Sure...sure." I thought, deciding on Fall out Boy's 'Young Volcanoes' since it basically described us as a group. I started to play the chords I knew so well. Mom taught me how to play when I was small, she always had a guitar hidden in a tree trunk whenever we decided to rest, we were always in the same place. But that stopped after the day I left, the pack knew it wasn't safe to stay. So reluctantly, they left. "When Rome's in ruins, we are the lions, free from the coliseums." I sang, my voice melding with the guitar perfectly. Everyone seemed entranced as I continued. By the time I finished the song everyone was enthralled and Kurt was drooling. "Do you wanna feel a little beautiful, baby?" I finished, drowning out my voice as the guitar got louder, finishing is well.

I turned to see everyone's eyes opened wide and their mouths hanging open. "What?" I asked. "How are you not famous?!" Kitty yelled at me. "What are you talking about, I've lived in the woods my whole life." I muttered as I placed the guitar down on the floor. "That was amazing." I turned around to find Logan walking in, picking his cigars up off of the floor. "You think so?" I blushed. It was unusual for Logan to be complimenting me like that. "Yeah. Kitty's right, you should be famous or something." He tapped his cigars against his hand absent mindedly. "Thanks." I laughed. Logan left, nodding at the rest of the group. I turned back around to see Kurt giving me a knowing look. "What?" I questioned sourly. "I know that vook, and I'm a hundred percent sure that you vike Logan." Kurt wiggled his eyebrows at me, staring at me with his golden eyes. I blushed profusely, giving him a confused glare. "What the hell is wrong with you Kurt?!?" I practically screamed at him.

The next day I had training so when I went down to the danger room, I tried my best to not blush in front of Logan, forgetting the words Kurt had said to me the night before. I didn't have a crush on Logan, I didn't have a crush on Logan, I kept on repeating to myself in my head. I'm pretty sure Jean heard me as I walked past her. "Don't worry, I'm sure he likes you too." Jean whispered in my mind. Causing me to blush even more. "Shut up!" I said to her out loud, causing her to laugh. "What did she say to you?" Logan asked me as I walked in on him punching a punching bag, shirtless. Rubbing my neck, I said something about something that had happened at breakfast. Logan just grunted in response. He was drenched in sweat; I never knew sweat could make someone's body so attractive. Wait...what?

"Come on, time for some training." Logan called me over. I started blushing tomato red, these thoughts weren't helping. "Are you okay? You look kinda flushed?" Logan questioned. "I'm fine." I answered in a flat tone. He caught my wrist before I could go any further, pulling me closer to him. I was pressed up against his shirtless chest, the back of his hand pressed up against my forehead as he checked my temperature. "You're boiling! Do you need to go to the infirmary?" He asked me. "I'm fine!" I barked back in response. "Alright, alright." He chuckled. I smacked him away from me before I marched over to the punching bag.

Punching the bag multiple times, i made sure i got rid of my feelings through the adrenaline in my system. But if anything I was just making myself even more riled up. I almost punched Logan in the face when he caught my fist after he tapped me on the shoulder. He was wearing a tank top now thank god. I was wearing a white tank top too, letting the scars on my upper back and lower neck show. It was baggy but i didn't let that bother me whilst training. My breaths fell short as i stared into Logan's eyes, something was happening, i didn't know what it was but Logan was getting closer and closer and...closer. But before he could do anything I covered his mouth with my hand and started yelling at him as i judo flipped him. "Watch what yoiu're doing shit face!" I yelled, stomping out of the danger room. Leaving Logan speechless on the floor, he smirked none the less.
