Levi had walked me to my room, I had wanted to say my thanks for what he did earlier but as soon as he opened my door for me, he had turned around and walked off, stating that he had work to attend to.
I watch levi's back as he walks away.
'God, his back muscles are so hot' I slap my face to get the thought out of my head, he's my superior, I can't be thinking thoughts like that.
I turn around and look into my compressed room. The only furnishings that occupied the room were a single straw bed and a wardrobe. I sigh, the room was covered in dust.
'It looks like it hasn't been used in years' I hear the voice say in my ear and I mentally agree while I look around the room.
As I'm brushing my fingertips over the dusty wall I notice a small knob stuck in the wall. I move closer to inspect it while pulling softly.
"What do you think it is?" my voice is quiet as I ask the voice a question, still pulling at the knob, a little more forcefully now.
'No clue, maybe some sort of safe? try pulling harder' I nod my head to the voice's answer and start pulling as hard as I can.
I stand there for at least two minutes attempting to open whatever this knob lead to.
"It's no use" being pathetically unfit, I gasp for air.
'Try turning it... left' The voice says with hesitation and I place my hand on the knob and twist left.
Just as I'm about to get angry at the voice and give up completely I can feel something shift under my hand and I hear a clicking sound.
I stand back in fright as a small disguised cabinet door swings open revealing the interior. I squint my eyes as I attempt to look into the impenetrable darkness within the small cubbyhole.
'Just reach your hand in, nothing's going to bite you' I nod my head slowly and reach my hand in to the voice's request. At first there's nothing there so I decide to reach my hand in lower. I feel my finders brush over something leathery and I snap my hand back.
'Stop being such a chicken and grab whatever that was' the voice says nonchalantly and I grit my teeth while reaching back inside the hole.
As quick as I possible can I wrap my hand around a leathery case and pull it out of the hole.
'A book...' I can barely read the name on the front.
'The title says; Personal Diary of Cadet Isabel Magnolia' The voice says in my ear as I'm studying the book.
"So she was a cadet, and the symbol on the cover is the Scouting Regiment logo." I find myself mumbling under my breath while I inspect the diary.
'Actually if you look closely you might notice something else" The voice says quietly and I inspect the logo.
As I hold the leather book under the light I realize that the voice was right. The book wasn't made with the logo, the logo had been stitched on by someone, and I couldn't tell because of how clean the stitching was.
I brush my finger over the book but just as I'm about to open it I hear footsteps coming down the hall and towards my room. In a moment of panic I shove the book back into the cubbyhole and swing the door shut, twisting the knob right until it clicks.
I step away from the cubby just in time as I look towards the door and Erwin waltzes in.
I inhale a sharp breath as he closes the door behind him. I look down at the floor again, I don't know why talking to him makes me so nervous.
"(f/n)... I came here to invite you to dinner with me... and the squad leaders" Erwin says as he walks closer to me and I can feel my breath hitch and he places his hand under my chin yet again.
"I think I'll d-decline" My voice stutters again and I mentally face-palm, I sound so pathetic.
"(f/n), why did you run away?" He whispers his question softly into my ear and I can feel my cheeks turn red, there's no Levi to interject now.
"You weren't g-going to let me train so I d-decided that I would go alone..."I mutter out and Erwin pulls up my chin so that my (e/c) eyes are locked on to his large blue ones.
"But you had me to protect you, I only wanted you to be safe after..." Erwin doesn't finish his sentence and I can see his eyes start to water. I instinctively reach my hand up and place it lightly on his cheek, he smiles at my gesture and I blush, realizing what I've done.
I'm about to pull my hand away when he places his hand over mine and closes his eyes while softly muzzling his cheek into my palm.
Erwin opens his eyes and starts leaning down towards my face while lifting my chin even more.
'I want this' I close my eyes and my mouth as he continues descending.
"Am I interrupting something?" I hear a sharp voice and both me and Erwin break away to see a very pissed Levi standing in the doorway.
