"I Promise" Levi Ackerman x Reader

Chapter Sixteen

Both me and Erwin break away to see a very pissed Levi standing in the door.

"This has nothing to do with you Captain Levi, this is personal business of mine." Erwin snaps immediately and I look over to him in surprise, he doesn't usually have that tone of voice.

Levi had obviously also noticed this and he raised an eyebrow in response to Erwin's haughty manner.

"I never knew it was your job to flirt with minors Commander Erwin" Levi says back with his usual stoic expression and I can feel laughter start to rise, I only just manage to suppress it.

Erwin glares at Levi and Levi simply glares right back in return.

"You're to leave this room immediately Captain" Erwin says through gritted teeth and Levi furrows his brows.

"I distinctly remember you saying that you were going to bring cadet (f/n) to dine with us, not that you were going to eat her" Levi snaps back at Erwin and I cover my mouth with my hand to suppress my laughter.

'I like him, he has a sense of humor' The voice says and I smile in agreement. Erwin notices my smile and he spins his head back to face Levi who is just standing there with a slight smug look in his eye.

Before Erwin has time to say anything Levi opens his mouth to speak.

"As I recall, one of the rules of being a Commander or Captain of the scouting regiment is that flirting with minors is prohibited" Levi states blankly and I see Erwin begin to fume in anger at Levi.

"And because you were breaking a rule just then I will have to give out the punishment." Levi continues and starts rolling up his sleeves as he watches Erwin.

"That won't be necessary" Erwin says through gritted teeth while he holds up his hands, but I've seen him do this before...

'Control me again! Protect Levi!' I shout to the voice in a panic as Levi starts lowering his arms, I know that just as Levi's arms are fully lowered is when Erwin will strike.

I feel my consciousness being thrown back into my body as the voice takes command and for the second time today I feel time slow down and my body speed up.

I watch as my body pushes off the ground and throws itself in front of Levi just as the Captain has lowered his arms. I look at what's happening around me and Levi's eyes have widened while Erwin's fist comes flying forward.

just as Erwin's knuckles are closing in on Levi I can feel my body fly in front of him and the punch that had been promised to Levi was smashed into my skull and with a jolt I come flying back into control of my body as it smashes against the wall from the force of Erwin's fist.

-Erwin's POV- 

In one second I go from punching this clean-freak to smashing (f/n) half-way across the room and into a wall. Nobody had ever been able to dodge or read my movements, it's like something possessed her...

I stare at (f/n)'s non-moving body crumpled against the wall and a wave of nostalgia washes over me as I remember her tiny body laying on the snowy ground three years ago.

"Don't mind me saying this Erwin, but what the fuck is wrong with that girl?" Levi's monotone voice breaks through the silence and I snap my gaze towards his annoyed expression.

"Excuse me? Look what you made me do! This was your fault!" My voice snarls out and I take a step towards the short man, if only he hadn't interrupted, then none of this would've happened.

Instead of answering me Levi just stares at me in such a way that I feel he's staring through my soul, I avert my eyes and open my mouth to say something when I hear Levi tch at me.

I turn my gaze at him again but he's already walking towards (f/n).

"What do you think you're doing Levi?" I attempt to scare him out of walking over to (f/n) but instead he ignores me and kneels down next to her while resting his tiny hand on her tiny face.

Just as I'm about to snap at Levi for being hypocritical, the tiny man slides his arms underneath (f/n). I stand there, astounded that Levi would ever try to touch her legs.

"You're not normally this forward about your feelings Captain" I snarl at him and he whips his eyes around to meet mine with a fierce glare.

"I'm taking her to the infirmary, my feelings have nothing to do with common sense" Levi snaps at me before lifting (f/n) up bridal-style and carrying her outside the room, leaving me with my mouth agape.

This man is in deep shit.
