Celestine's POV

I never believed in happy endings.

When I was 5, my dream when I grew up, was to find my prince charming. Typically.

But then when I grew slowly, I started to wonder why the story ends just when the princesses gets married. Of course, if they actually made the story about life after, it would be pretty boring. But that's just it. Tie the knot and everything dulls.

I slowly started to believe that I may just never meet prince charming, that he doesn't exist to begin with. Because in real life, there will be no knight in shining armor, riding on his royal horse to save you.

And when mom came home announcing that she was officially dating a Noah Parker, I didn't know how to feel.

I was now seated in my room, staring into absolutely nothing. Even though I wasn't paying attention to anything, I picked up a small movement in the hallway. And not long after, saw the tip of sneakers poking in from the halls into the bottom left corner of the doorway. I then smiled to myself, quietly getting off the bed and approaching the door before forcefully stomping on the foot.

"Oh f*ck." I hear the shout.

"You're the worst hide and seek player." I rolled my eyes as Christian glared at me while hopping on one foot and clutching the other.

"Violent much?" He then scoffed. "I'm gonna tell on you, uh Cassidy? Your daughter's abusing me."

I groaned the thumped him on the head before crawling back to my bed.

"Wow, ever heard of mercy? Please have mercy on me, take it easy on my heart!" He sang loudly and obnoxiously.

"Shut up Christian, the neighbors are going to wonder who dropped you off." I uncovered my ears and scooted over for Christian to sit on the bed.

"Are you kidding, the Jones' love me." He chuckled before looking over my shoulder. "What are you doing?"

"I don't know, Christian. I just... really want to remember." I told him, my voice wavering as I let out a heavy sigh.

"And you're scrolling through your old messages in hopes of gathering some information?" He pushed and I nodded.

"Chris-" I stopped abruptly not knowing how to put my sentence to words. I then waved my phone around, causing him to look down to the screen, getting the message almost immediately as his eyebrows rose.

"Storm?" He raised his eyebrow. "You want to talk to him?"

"No, well yes. I mean, I don't know."

"You know all you have to do is ask? He'd drop anything to stop by." He chuckled at me, ruffling my hair as I hid my blushing face in his shoulders.

Not knowing what to say, I said the next best thing. "Shut up." I mumbled, which caused him to laugh louder just before the doorbell rang a few moments later.

Storm's POV

"Storm, we have a problem."

I quickly dropped the water bottle I was drinking from, wiping the sweat beading on my forehead. "What is it?" I asked, screwing the cap of the bottle shut as I took off my shoulder pads and put them into the duffel bag.

"You know the ex? What's his name, Robin? Roby?" Griffin listed as I rolled my eyes.

"Toby."

"Yea that guy. So apparently - thanks to some unnamed sources - I found out that the news of Celestine's memory loss has reached him and he had just took off to come here." Griffin explained while helping me fold my jacket into the bag.
