❣ Celestine's POV ❣
"You seem grumpy." I hear a voice say behind me as I swirled to look at the person.
I sighed, "I'm not in the mood Griffin." I told him but he approached me, engulfing me in a brotherly hug. Griffin wore a flannel today with a black shirt and jeans, he's pretty rich so he uses branded colognes. Remember that time he worked in the arcade? It was just so he could fill his spare time and play games.
"Celest, you're really too nice. If it were I, I would have showed him no mercy." He told me but his voice was muffled by my hair.
I rolled my eyes, "He just needs time."
He pulled away abruptly and starred at me like I've grown three heads. "Time Celest? He had 4 weeks to cry over it like a baby but no, he decided it was fun to show everyone that he's grumpy and mad while he's hurting you." He said somewhat angrily. "It was just a joke." He added.
I clutched his shoulders and looked him in the eye, "Griffin. It's okay, I know he's a bit of an ass but, trust me I've had to face worse. Just.. Just forget about him for now, okay?" I told him as his eyes snapped to the right then back at me.
He quickly launched himself at me, giving me a sensual hug and pressing a kiss to my forehead which left me furrowing my brows and struggling to pull him away. "What are you doing?" I whisper-shouted in his ear.
He chuckled, "Trust me, okay?" I nodded in which he pulled me closer for a few moments until we hear a door bang and he let go of me.
I stumbled a little but caught myself, dusting my hands on my jeans, I smacked the back of his head, "What were you doing?"
He lifted an eyebrow and smirked, "Just making someone regret what he said." I was confused until I hear a string of curses from the boy's toilet and then I knew he was referring to Storm.
I groaned, "Grif, he's going to be even more mad."
"Have you ever thought why he's mad?" He suggested and slung an arm over my shoulders, guiding me to class.
"No."
"It's because he's jealous, naïve little Celest." He teased and stopped, kicking open his locker door and grabbing his books.
"Why would he be jealous?" I all but asked, I wasn't that special. I'm just a girl that moved here, played pranks, made friends and get in trouble a lot but hey, I'm still likable in a friendly way.
Compared to the other girls in the school, I'm considered pretty average. I'm just like anyone else. Leyla on the other hand, she's really pretty. I can't compare to her, so why is Storm mad at me, but not her? Okay, wait, screw that thought, he's mad at everyone.
"Because you make him happy." Griffin broke my thoughts as he uttered out with a few pens between his teeth, both hands holding his textbooks. I silently grabbed a few of his books from him, waiting for him to organize everything before helping him zip up his bag.
"So..?"
He put his arm back around my shoulder, "So, in the meantime when you played pranks on everyone in school, you make them laugh. Storm wants you to make him laugh just as much." He explained.
"He could've asked." I said and sat down at my seat, next to the window where I could peer out when I don't want to listen to the teacher when shes speaking.
"Hey, at least it's a lesson for him. Now he knows what he's missing out on." Griffin smiled softly and grabbed a chair, straddling it.
"What is he missing out on?" I asked with furrowed brows.
