Springtime Waters

Come sit down on the shoreline

And put your hand in mine

The spring is now upon us

And isn’t it just fine?

The snow has finally melted

And winter’s at its end

The sandy banks are swallowed

By thaws that God did send

Go see the running river

Its water cold and blue

Drink the icy liquid

And watch it rushing through

Dip your feet in the water

Feel cold upon your toes

Wade in a little deeper

See where the river flows

Splashing in the water

And laughing like a child

See a brand new side of you

Something new and wild

Caught in rushing currents

That flow into the sea

Brush against the rocks and sand

Come swimming, dear, with me
