Song of the week: Try-P!nk

The air in the car was filled with tension. Rocco held my hand and gave me a reassuring kiss on my forehead. Laurel looked at me and smiled. Her blue eyes calmed my insides and I suddenly felt happy. Justine was in the car too but was to busy blocking out the happy family scene and was listening to an old Falling in Reverse album.

The loud guitar solos filling a little bit of the air. The scenery around us was starting to become more and more familiar as we moved forward.

"Jessica, I want to know what will happen when we reach your old pack? To me we can act like we don't care about each other but your relationship with Laurel has to stay the same."

Rocco's voice filled my head and I tried to block Justine but she held her place and kept our connection open. Of course Rocco and I would be any different but he didn't know that.

"Of course not how could you think that. I'm over him Rocco over them. maybe not my father but everyone else deserves no remorse. I will always but Laurel, Justine, mom and you before anyone else."

I looked deep into his grey violet eyes and felt his hesitation. He nodded his head and looked back to the road. Suddenly I saw what I had been waiting for wolves. the same wolves that had once hated me. A hand was suddenly at my shoulder and Justine's eyes had her special glint and I shook my head, not yet.

For once in the time I've known her she actually listened. The car was filled with silence until howls filled the air signaling our arrival. Of course I felt weird being back to my old pack but I had to admit I was happy I was here. I could show everyone what they lost and what I had gained. Liam would regret what he did and Rocco will always stay by my side.

"I can't wait for our lovely father to see you and then realize there's two of us!!"

Justine's voice filled my head and I had to smile at that completely agreeing.

" I doubt he'll know it's me though, you do know I've changed over these last months. Especially my eyes, they're not going to believe its me. Heather being the most shocked of all and will probably run in fright!"

I could feel my eyes start to change color and controlled myself, there's no need to frighten Laurel. I felt Justine ponder on that and she didn't say anything else. At this point we had almost gotten to the pack house. I never actually considered it a pack house. The only people that lived there were the Alpha and his family.

When visitors came they made it seem like they were a perfect and loving pack but we all knew it was a lie. Now I got to see them act as something they weren't and I knew it wasn't going to be pretty.

The "pack house" came into view. A huge white mansion that gleamed and glistened under the sun.

" Woo! Jess I have no idea why you left when you could have had this house!"

Justine thought joking would be perfect but was she wrong Rocco released a possessive growl and I knew he didn't like it here. Slowly as we approached we saw people at the steps of the house. I felt my wolf release a sort of whimper and I knew exactly who it was, Liam.

I ignored her and reminded myself of what I came for. Rocco looked at me unsure of what he should do. I nodded my head and we walked out of the car. I opened Laurel's door and Rocco opened Justine's. I carried Laurel in my arms and wanted to shield her from the world. I knew I couldn't though, she needed to meet the pack and I wouldn't be allowed to interfere. I wasn't her mother and she was not my daughter. That didn't mean I didn't feel protective of her though.

" Alpha Rocco welcome!"

He had his eyes trained on Justine, I couldn't blame him she looks exactly like I had. Since I was Beta and had more authority than she did I had changed. My eyes once closer to hazel were now gold with a couple green flecks. My once reddish brown hair was now an almost pure red color. My skin looked a lot lighter than before due to my hair color change. I felt offended hat he overlooked the beta of the pack.
