Chapter 12
Song of the week: Drink A Beer ~ Luke Bryan
Dedicated to: Kelly9199 because I owed you -_- Also because you're a good friend and feed me :P
Roses, color schemes, dresses, pearls, lace, and sparkles filled my days. Things I really didn’t enjoy but was going through because my best friend and sister was getting married. Her disbelief for my full support was something that I throughly enjoyed. She still hadn’t read my letter and I told her not to at least until she felt she needed more reassurance for her decision. So far she believed in her decision and had been planning her wedding like crazy. She didn’t go bridezilla yet but I could tell she would be frightening if she did. She hadn’t had any success with finding a dress. Which brings to what I’m doing right now.
The champagne glass sits between my fingers bubbling. The mannequin in front of me bares a dress that I love but won’t ever get to wear. I lift the glass towards my lips and tilt its cool liquid glides down my throat. Rustling fills my ears and I try not to laugh at Justine. Her huge ball gown has sating everywhere, flowers, lace and looks like a unicorn threw up on it. I focus on the dress in front of me again. A blur of white passes past my eyes and once again, that feeling I’d been getting since we started organizing the wedding is starting to return. Quickly I drink the full glass of Champagne. I finally get up and walk around feeling the muscles in my legs protest. The small brunette in the corner walks over and reaches for my glass. She leaves and I decide to voice my opinion to Justine.
“Oh look my Jess finally decided to join us,” Justine’s voice fully laced with sarcasm. I felt my eyes narrow and suddenly the familiar warmth in my hands begins. I wonder how much better her dress will look in flames. The small brunette returns with the glass and the bottle. I whisper in her ear, “tell everyone to get out. I need time alone with my dear sister,” her eyes look up at me in fright. She swiftly pulls back and motions for everyone to follow her. All of the people in side swiftly leave, a couple glancing at me wearily.
I shouldn’t drink so much but I chug down a glass and fill a new glass. The floor creaks beneath my feet as I walk over to Justine. Her huge ball gown that looks like a huge cake. A cake I wouldn’t dare eat. Laughing to myself softly as she started waving and talking frantically to her friends. Suddenly, her dress was creeping slowly with flames.
I’ve got to say it looked ten times more attractive enveloped in flames. Suddenly her screaming began and I didn’t feel any remorse though. She’d been getting annoying and now she’d pissed me off to no end.
“Jessica! How could you!! You ruined my dress! I finally found one and now look what you’ve done! DO you even know how much it costs!! Of course you don’t you’re a stupid Bi-“
“No need to start insulting Justine. For your information I do and I know that with that dress Kyle would run away from you. He’d probably take back his preposition. Then there goes you only chance at marriage.”
To say she was pissed is an understatement. She started charging at me and trying to throw fireballs so I did what any non normal werewolf would do. I took her powers away. Then thats when everything went even more down hill than ever.
“Jessica! You took away my powers you bitch! I can’t believe you! You promised! You promised you’d never take advantage of the power you held!”
“I had to take my powers back. Imagine if I hadn’t my face would have been burned off and yours would too! You know how this works. One of us was chosen to be gifted and I was. I chose to give you powers and in the process got both of us connected. I know you hate it but it really wasn’t an option. If I hadn’t I’d be grabbing everyones powers and would have no choice in the matter. I didn’t want that so here we are and now I need you to calm down so I can give you your powers back! If not I’m going to go on elemental overload and we both know what that means. Now be a good girl and sit down.”
“You know what Jessica! Screw you! I’m not letting you! Go on overload for all I care. I’m through with you. You’re just jealous I get to marry my MATE and your rejected you! You will never be truly happy! “
With that princess Justine left the building and all her “friends” glared at me.
Not that I cared but then again she was kind of right. It hurt to know she was right. With that I drink the whole bottle of champagne.
“Well well Jessica didn’t you do a good job!”
I looked up startled and my eyes met with the girl who’d been following me around. Her dark eyes were not the black i’d thought. Her eyes looked to be a midnight blue shade. Her hair color was different a slight black and purple tint. Her pale skin was a contrast to her dark eyes and purple hair. She was short and had a slightly slender hourglass frame.
“Okay who in the world are you? You’ve been following me around you weren’t very good at hiding. Now why in the world are you here?”
“Slow down tiger. I mean its not like I haven’t been watching you your whole life.” Her head was tilted to the side slightly and her eyes shone with amusement.
Okay what in the world was this some kind of reality show? So I did the only thing an irritated and pissed off lunatic would do. I launched a fireball at her too.
Okay lets pause the story right now and I’ll let you know one thing. I wasn’t thinking straight and really did not expect her to do what she did. What I expected was her plum hair to be black and gone, but NOPE no such luck.
The world was seriously trying to kill me. That’s the conclusion I made. I mean of course why else would the reason be for a blue force field to suddenly surround her and then, BAM!! The fire was flicked back at me. Thankfully she saved me. Well from getting my hair burned off and literally being the flame color it was and then it would be put out and where did the hair go! Well I don’t know it went crawling back to the land of flames.
“What in the world. Okay who are you!”
“My name is Corinna, I am your protector. I was assigned to protect you upon your birth. Justine was left without a protector, because she was meant to be powerless. Instead you did something only a powerful werewolf could do. You bestowed her with half of your powers and in that process gave her and yourself a special connection. You are both now bound together for as long as you live, both of you cannot reach your powers to your full potential without the others consent. For example if Justine dies you cannot maintain as much power as before, unless at the moment of death she gives consent. You on the other hand have twice as much strength and ability as Justine due to your inheritance.”
“I already knew most of this the question is why do I need a protector?”
“You are part of the most gifted bloodlines in the werewolf history. We shouldn’t talk about it here, but putting that aside. You really were a bitch to Justine and I know why. I’ve been watching you my whole life how could I not. I think its time we found Justine the dress she deserves. Don’t you?”

Hey guys,
thanks for reading and I'm sorry I've been off track for uploading. I recently went through two deaths. One of them was A LOT more painfull than the other. One was my pastor's mom, who is also a family friend. Then lastly my best friend underwent a test on thursday and the results showed she no longer recieved oxygen to her brain. So they kept her alive so the organ recievors to get their transplants. So last night at around 9:30 my Best friend and first friend was unplugged. To say it has been a painful journey is an understatment. None of my losses before were as close knit to me. So before anybody starts getting frantic on my uploading I'll be doing my best. So I'm really relating to a bunch of songs but one that really struck home was Drink a Beer by Luke Bryan. Some of the things he says are literally what I'm thinking and what I did. So listen to it, its a really nice and touching song.
Thank you.
