POV Brooke

"Guys I need a word with all of you" we all were alarmed by his concerned look. "What's up" Cain asked. "Well let's see, there is no easy way to say this but us being the best team here we have a mission to complete. I got a call from the general and he wants us to rescue sergeant Cooper and his team. They are surrounded in a mall. They went there for supplies and possible survivors when they were ambushed by cranks and Robots." We all looked at him like he was crazy. Madison stepped forward. "We have trained for like 2 weeks now. The general just picks us because he doesn't want to clean up his own mess. He just wants to be able to tell that he has done everything he can to save those guys, while he is sitting on his fat ass doing nothing at all." "Easy Madison, stand down. He is still the man with the authority here." She scoffed and stepped back. "What's the plan?" Cain was a lot more interested than the rest of us. "I would like some action, admit it we are all getting lazy. See it as a team bonding exercise." He tried to convince us but it didn't really work out. "Like Cain asked, what's the plan?" I was done being left in the dark. "Well it is a tricky one. The mall is, from what I heard, full of cranks. We have to fight our way in or try to find an entrance that is silent and quick. This is where Madison comes in. You have to scout the area, looking for any weak spots of the building and how many cranks there are in every room. You determine whether we try the silent and quick way or the other. When Madison has scouted the area and reported what she saw, we are going in-" "Can I join the action?" "Yes Madison, you are with us. Brooke you are our back up, if things go south you have to shoot every motherfucker you see and save our asses. You also have to be our eyes and ears from the outside, got that?" I nodded "Good, when we are inside, Hugo and I take on the cranks that might have heard or seen us while Cain and Madison go and find the sergeant and his team. You bring as many as you can outside. When you are out you go to Sam with the injured. The ones who can still fight cover our asses. This will be needed because Hugo and I probably have alarmed almost every crank in there, and have to run for our lives. When every dangerous crank is down, we leave the site for what it is and go home. Is this clear?" "Yes sir" we echoed. "Good, now go and do something fun, we leave tomorrow morning at 5 am. "Wow wait, tomorrow?! Who is taking care of Atlas while I'm away? Huh?! We are a scouting team and you know that." "Easy Mad" I said to her. "You really want to take him with you ey? Well okay than, but he is your responsibility, make sure he listens and is quiet when needed. Now go and do something fun" "Why don't you join us, as in real team bonding eh?" I said looking at Diaz. Cain looked a bit awkward when I said this, he was scratching his neck and scoffed silently at my statement. "Depends on what you will be doing" "Well I don't think we have decided yet, suggestions are welcome." "There isn't much to do besides the swimming pool or the game room." "Swimming pooooool pleaaaase." Everyone looked at Sam, who was doing some weird dance and was singing "Swimming pool, Swimming pool!" "Guess it is decided then, let's go and change." While walking back towards our dorm, it hit me. "Mad? We don't have a bikini or something like that." "feck, well uhm just put on some t-shirt and shorts?" it was more a question than a solution but it worked for me. Everyone had left towards the pool when Madison and I were changing. "yo what do you have as a 'swimming outfit'?" I asked her. "Well black shorts and a blue t-shirt, you?" "Well uhm I have black shorts as well but uh yea, I don't have a t-shirt that fits, I only have crop tops or a tank top" "Just put something on that doesn't make you look like a hoe. You're welcome bitch" she was joking around. I quickly put on the tank top. "Mad grab me a towel will ya?" "Got it sister" we laughed at our own weirdness. "Let's go swimmingggg" I yelled while running like superman with my towel as a cape. When we closed our door behind us we began our walk towards the pool. Than those boys from a couple of days ago showed up. "Piss off Tymon!" I was so done with these guys. We walked passed them when they slapped our asses "Spank that booty" one of them said. Madison and I looked at each other, turned around and punched him in the face. He had this bad nose bleed. Another guy was walking towards us with a knife. "Leon, get those bitches." I jumped aside when he tried to stab me. "Get the fuck out while you still can Leon, I warned you and believe me Madison is a bad bitch, don't get in her way." He was in conflict with himself but continued anyway. Madison kicked his legs from underneath him and he fell while accidentally stabbing himself. "Shit, we fucked up Mad." I ran towards the guy and looked at the wound. "You're okay, just need to get some stiches." He pulled the knife out of his body and sliced my arm. "Goddamnit, you little shit, I tried to help you." Madison looked at my arm. "It's just a cut, nothing a bandage can't fix." I nodded and we left the boys there, without looking back. Arriving at the swimming pool we saw sixpacks everywhere "Oeh this is something I would like to see more often." She winked at me and I laughed at her, I placed my towel on one of those swimming pool beds and pushed the innocent and unknowing Madison in. "BROOKEEEE, you bloody wanker!!" she yelled, very loud, while she was falling in making a bellyflop causing everyone to look at us. I was laughing so hard at Madison's bitch face that I was hiccupping from laughing, I probably sounded like a suffocating hyena but I didn't care. What I didn't notice was the smirk on the faces of Hugo, Sam and Cain. Out of nowhere two (very) strong arms wrapped around my waist, lifted me up and jumped with me in the water. I was spooked by the sudden touch so I yelped and swallowed a lot of water. "Diaz, you cock-up!" I was trying to 'drown' him without success. He was taller and stronger than me so I was screwed, I was choking in the water of the pool for the 100th time when Madison decided to drop the incident from before and help me. "It's on!" she yelled while swimming towards us and clamping around Diaz and pulling him off. "C'mon let's help Diaz guys" Cain, Sam and Hugo rushed to us and pulled Madison off of Diaz. I kicked Diaz of off me and swam away. I was being chased by Hugo and him while Madison was swimming away from Sam and Cain. I ducked under and made a sharp turn to the right so I could get a hold on Sam's leg. He lost his balance and went under. "One down three to go" I said to Madison. "It's on princess" I wanted to punch Hugo in the face for that horrible nickname. I was no princess. "Get over here you dickhead!" we were wrestling and I was winning until Diaz showed up and shoved my head underwater. "You bastards, two against one is unfair." "Is the princess complaining ey? She can't handle us, look at her." They laughed at me. "Watch me" I twisted in the water like a spastic worm so the water was becoming unclear. I quickly swam behind Hugo, pulled his legs away and used his back to jump onto Diaz. I was on his shoulders trying to get him to lose his balance when the general came in. "Commander!" everyone stopped immediately. He gently put me off his shoulders and got out of the water. He saluted and went outside with the general to talk. I got out as well and let my curiosity take over. I went after the general and Diaz and overheard their conversation. "You need to leave early, sergeant Cooper has told us that he was in real trouble. All of his soldiers are getting sick from some kind of virus, not the one that makes them go crazy, but some kind of mutated flu. Their medic has died while trying to get the medicine they needed, so you and your team are their only hope. The chopper leaves in twenty. Get your team ready commander." "Yes sir" I ran back as silent and fast as I could and grabbed my towel to dry myself. "Team, we need to leave in twenty minutes. The chopper is ready, so grab your stuff and meet me up on the roof."
