"You found me, lost and insecure"
Ryan is a senior in high school, struggling to be somewhere. At 18, she's living on her own, working at a low paying burger joint to support herself, and still going to school. She's completely different from everyb...
I had just made it into my sad excuse of an apartment when there was a knock on the door. I opened it and it was Mike, standing there grinning. I got nervous & embarrassed. I told him I didn't want him up here.
"You gonna invite me in?" He asked. "No." I snapped. He raised an eyebrow, "okay then. You left your phone on my dash." He held up my cheap smartphone. I grabbed it out of his hands, "thanks.". I started to shut the door, but he stopped it with his foot.
"Are you trying to hide me from your boyfriend or something?" He chuckled. I let out a loud laugh, "I mean no, I live alone". He smirked, "Oh. Well, I took the liberty of putting my number in your phone, and texted myself, so I also have yours." He started to walk away, "goodnight." I shut the door, confused. When's the joke going to end? When was Ashton Kutcher going to jump out and tell me I'm being punk'd? Whatever, at least I'm prepared. I had more important things to worry about. Like how I was going to get my car home, and pay to fix it. I'm only 18 and I'm this stressed, ugh. Times like this I wish I had parents to help me out, than I realized who my parents were, than realized if they were here, they wouldn't be able to help me out anyway.
I woke the next morning to a text from, I think you can guess who, Mike. "Good morning sunshine ;)". I just shut my alarm off and set my phone back on my night stand that I had bought at the local Salvation Army. I had to get ready for school fast, seems how I had to walk to school today. I threw my hair up in a bun, slapped some make up on, squeezed myself into some jeans and a blouse, grabbed my bag and headed out.

As I walked out the door I noticed my car sitting in the parkway. There was a paper under the windshield, so I assumed it was towed here. Great, another bill I can't afford. I trotted over to the car & picked up what I thought was a tow-ticket and opened it.
"You can thank me later :)". Okay, this was a little too much. Why would the bitch-crew destroy my car, just to pay to fix it? Something wasn't adding up. I stuffed the paper in my purse and looked at my car. All the tires were replaced, and my hood was missing the new "fatty" decal. Confused, I got in my hunk-of-junk on wheels and drove to school. Trying to piece this all together.
I had almost made it threw the day without any hassle, until 5 minutes before the final bell. "Well well well, what'cha doing on here?" Said Destiny as she swiped my phone out of my hand. I stood up, "seriously? Are you a senior or are you a first grader? Give it back." She just laughed, "Ooh, who's Mike? Good morning sunshine? Is he blind or stupid?" The whole crew laughed. I rolled my eyes, and just waited for her to give me my phone back.
"C'mon Ryan, say something." I continued to ignore here. It seemed to frustrate her. "Fine, you want to play that way? Then you're to blame for this.", she said as she dropped my phone to the hard, dirty concrete floor. "Oops.", they all walked away laughing. I began to go at her, but controlled myself. I picked up my now shattered phone, grabbed my bag, and stormed out.
Finally, I made it home. Work sucked, but it paid the bills, barely. I worked til 10 today, so I went straight to bed.
Thankfully, it was Saturday. No school, no bitches, just me and my problems. I slept in later than usual, so I figured I'd make up for lost time & clean my apartment. I turned my radio on, and kept turning it up, until I couldn't hear my self think. I started with the dishes. The radio was on point today. I started dancing and singing, how could you not to Nicki Minaj?
