Lost And Found

p1 - chapter seventeen

   The next morning I woke up. I wasn't sure I wanted to be up yet. I felt drained, hurt, and confused. I had so many questions. I needed a distraction.

After almost an hour, I climbed out of bed and made my way to the living room, where Molly was watching reruns of Jersey Shore. "G'morning" I said, sitting next to her. She smiled, "How'd you sleep?" I nodded, "Eh. You like this show?" Molly immediately answered, "Oh my god, Yes! It's so funny, and the boardwalk looks like so much fun." I took in what she said. She was right, the boardwalk did seem fun, and distracting. "Go pack."
She looked at me, "pack for What? You're not going to make me leave are you?" I looked at her, "No, Never! We're going to New Jersey, let's see how fun the boardwalk really is." She jumped up, "Oh my God! Really?!" I nodded. She darted to her bedroom.

I got up and went to the kitchen for a drink. "I love the boardwalk." I heard Clayton say. I turned around and he was standing in the door way. "Clayton, when did you get here?"

"I never left, I wanted to make sure you were alright." He smiled.

I had butterflies for a second, but I realized he was just being friendly. I smiled back. "Are you busy for the next few days?"

He shook his head, "Nope."

"Would you like to join us on our trip to New Jersey?" I said, walking closer to him.

"I'd love too" he smiled.

"Well, we should be going in 4 hours max. Can you pack and be ready at 2? I'll pick you up."

Clayton smiled, "I sure can. I better get going then."

  Clayton left, then it was my turn to get ready. I would have to text Jocelyn to see when I work again, because I forgot to right down my schedule.

Ryan:
Hey pretty! Do you have the schedule written down? I forgot again!

Jocelyn:
Yes ma'am, give me a second and I'll look.

Ryan:
Thanks a bunch! You're a life saver.

Jocelyn:
You work today, and Thursday. It would be Wednesday, but the bars closed for a paint job.

Ryan:
Oh a paint job, exciting lol. Could you let the boss know I cant make it today please?! But I will be there Thursday!

Jocelyn:
Sure thing sugar, have a good day ❤

Alright, so we could stay til really early Thursday morning. That's 3 days and 3 nights. Perfect little get away.

I packed my things, probably more than I needed for three days, but oh well. It only took an hour. So, to kill time I'll take a shower, and do my make-up a little extra. That'll kill at least an hour and a half.

So, I climbed in the shower. I took my time washing up, purposely to kill time.

Once I got out of the shower and had dried off, I applied some make up. I may have over done my make-up, I just got lost in it. I had also curled my hair.  It was a great distraction.  Which thinking about how distracted I got, led me to check the time. It's been 2 hours and 47 minutes. That took longer then expected. I had to pack.

I quickly began going through my drawers, it's just 3 days I don't need much. So, I grabbed 6 pair of jeans, and 9 shirts and tossed them in my suitcase. I tossed in some underwear,  socks and a few bras. My bag was overflowing, but I could make it for. I tried smushing everything together and zipping it, but that didn't work. But I kept trying. "Need some help?" Clayton said making an entrance. He startled me a little, "Yes please!"

We finally managed to get my suitcase shut. "Are we visiting or moving?" Clayton joked. "Haha, funny." I smirked. I grabbed my bag & headed to the living room. Molly wasn't there, so I figured she wasn't done. "We're just waiting for Molly" I assured Clayton. He looked nice. I don't know why he looks different, but he does, and I was liking it.

10 minutes later, Molly came out. "I'm ready" she sang. "You sure? You've got everything?" I asked. She nodded. "Well, let's go then."

We shoved our bags into the trunk then we piled into Clayton's car. "Let's go!" Molly shouted playfully.
