I was no longer worried about my belongings being destroyed or anything for that matter. I was excited actually, it was all from Salvation Army anyway. Now, I could get all new furniture and rent a better apartment that actually looks like somebody could live in it.

"Hello?" Mike waved his hand in my face. Has he been talking? I've been lost in my own little world.

"Yeah, what's up?" I wonder what he's said.

"Did you hear anything I said?" No, no I haven't. I've been busy thinking about a normal life.

"No, sorry" I guess I was sorry. Then I remembered we still had to talk about yesterday and everything similar. "But, before you say anything..you don't know destiny?"

He looked at me like I had two heads, "unless you're talking about my grandmother who passed 7 years ago, then no. And before you ask, yes I genuinely find you attractive. I saw you that day and just wanted to get to know you."

My stomach got all tingly and my cheeks were burning bright red I could imagine. Mike actually likes me. I was flattered. Then I remembered how I'd treated him. "Mike I'm sorry about-", before I could finish, I felt his plump lips pressed against mine. My stomach exploded. Today has been fantastic. But it had to end eventually. Just like the kiss, which was over before I knew it.

"So, will you join me for dinner tonight? To get to know each other." He smiled. I never noticed how cute his smile was.

I smiled back, "I'd love too."

Mike left to shower and such, he'd pick me up at 7. So, 4 hours to kill. I knew exactly what I'd do. I flicked on the tv and pulled out my phone and hopped right on Craigslist to search for a new apartment. I had to factor in how much money  I made monthly to make sure I could continue to afford a nice place after the money was gone. Maybe I should go to the casino more often, I laughed.

Time dragged on and it was finally 6 o'clock, I had showered, now to figure out what to wear.

I decided on a plain navy green tee & a black scarf, some jeans and boots. Seems how I didn't know where we were going, I just went with a classy casual look. I did my everyday make up and threw my hair into a cute messy bun.

I checked the time, 7:03

I checked the time, 7:03. My heart sank. I had fallen for the Destiny and the bitch-crew scam. I was such an idiot. I was still too 'excitement high' to be upset. I grabbed my keys and my bag and headed out to my car. As I unlocked my car, guess who was standing by my car. You probably didn't guess it, Destiny.

I bet you could guess my first thought though, she was here to rub the Michael scam in my face. Should I turn around and book up to my apartment? That wouldn't solve anything. Maybe I should just punch her and get this over with. Before I could decide which plan I wanted to go with, she spoke in her soft but high pitched voice.

"Where you headed looking so, decent?" She giggled. At least she said I looked decent. I didn't say anything.

"No where, thought so. I need a favor, and if you were smart, you'd do it." Did she think she was tough or something? Was that a threat? Either way, it pissed me off. Thankfully, I noticed a familiar car pull up. Then I saw Mike walking my way. I smiled, which was dumb. Destiny turned her head in Mike's direction, "Ooh, who's that hunk". She then fixed her hair and give her boobs a quick fluff and smiled just as Mike reached me, "Well hello". I was more pissed off now than before. And worried, she was better looking than me, he could easily shove me aside for her. But, I was wrong. "Hey" he quickly said to her, then looked at me. "Hey, sorry I was late, my dad needed me. Ready to go?". I smiled, looked at Destiny and smiled even bigger, than looked back at Mike, "Yeah, lets go."

The night was great, Mike's really sweet. I learned a lot about him. He's 23, lives alone; by choice, he's a nurse, has a dog, and a total gentleman. He didn't mind the fact that I was 18, or a senior in high school. He said that I was really mature for my age. There was more but, I'm too tired to think. By  the time I got home, it was 1am. I had forgotten about school tomorrow. I went to bed thinking about my awesome day and my even better night.

Oh, and what Destiny could have possibly wanted from me.
