Kaldur x Shy!Reader

Hey squad! Finally I've found an idea for Kaldur and I was having a hard time finding one because the idea prosses (is that how you spell it?) was completely shot, I'll explain later, but this one was off of the episode when The Brain was taking control of the animals. Anyway on with the story! <3

(Y/N) P.O.V

The tension in the air was thick, like the you could suffocate from it kind of thick. Earlier Superboy had reveled to the rest of the team that Kaldur had suspected a mole in the team without telling anyone. He kept trying to explain himself, but no one was willing to listen. You would have told them to shut up so he could, but you were terrible at socializing and speaking your mind.

The ship had landed and everyone was arguing again, you hated arguing and stayed quiet and out of sight. The team had completely forgotten about you and stormed off. Superboy left alone, Wally and Robin disappeared from where they were, and M'gann and Artimas left twards the swamp. Leaving you, Captain Shazam, and Kaldur. He looked hurt, this made your heart ache for the antlantian.

You couldn't deny that you had a crush on him, he was mostly the only one who didn't forget you were there at all, that plus he was basically your best friend. You didn't doubt him when he said that keeping the secret was for the benifit of the team. You may or may not have accidentally overheard the first conversation he had about the mole with Red Tornado.

He turned tward you with a relieved smile. You blush fiercely since you had been thinking what you have been earlier.

Kaldur P.O.V

The team had just stormed off because of what happened at Mt. Justice. I noticed that a certain someone hadn't left with everyone else, in fact she was nowhere to be seen. I was worried that she had somehow left without my noticing or was hidden somewhere avoiding the argument that happened a couple minutes ago.

I looked behind me to see her hiding in the ship, I could feel myself smile in relief, she had not left yet. "I thought you left with the others." She shook her head and walked twards me. "No, I might've been dragged into an uncomfortable conversation with any of them, besides, you're my best friend." I chuckled and sighed. She looked down, and the look on her face resembled....shame? "What's wrong?" I asked, I knew how bad she was at speaking her mind about things, bit she was getting better at it with me.

"ImayormaynothaveoverheardyourconversationwithRedTornadoaboutthemole." She said it so fast I couldn't pick up anything except Red Tornado. "Wait, slow down, say it again but slower." I said not taking my eyes off hers they were a beautiful shade of (E/C). I always loved to look at them, I had to remind myself not to get lost in them. She sighed "I..." She was fiddling with her uniform. "I...overheard your conversation with Red Tornado about the mole."

(Y/N) P.O.V

You looked away from his shocked face. "I-It was unintentional I-I swear, I was walking around and was looking for you and saw you there at that exact moment. I was close enough to hear." You visibly shrink back shutting your eyes tight, waiting for the worst to happen.

"(Y/N), look at me." His voice was soft and there was no sign off anger in it at all. You snap your head up to see Kaldur's face. It was gentle, with is eyes just as the same.

"I'm okay, knowing it was you and decided not to tell anyone, but why didn't you?"
"Well.... I heard everything and agreed with you. If you had told them and if there is one, it would let them know and it would cause chaos." You slightly glance away. You saw that Shazam wanted to say something after a while of Kaldur trying to get the team to listen to him when their lives needed it.

He let out a frustrated sigh. You gave Shazam a look and he took the hint that it was now or never. He gave an interesting story about how Batman does what he does best. And that- at the moment- was giving orders that everyone follows so they don't die. He nodded in agreement and told M'gann to set up a link for everyone, including you. There was multiple groans from the team especially Wally. They started arguing again about the situation and not listening to Kaldur, who was giving orders.

You were angry now, he was trying to help and they aren't making the situation any better. Shazam had been caught and everyone was bicering. You growl at this and snapped. 'All of you just shut up and listen to Kal, he is trying to get the mission done and all of you are making it worse, if you don't listen to him, who knows what's going to happen to Shazam!' Kaldur gives you a surprised look and it was dead silent. You blush and look down, Kal nods and gives orders to the team.

(Time skip to the end of the mission)

Kaldur P.O.V

The team had still let me lead after it all, I was even willing to step down from the position as leader. They all voted for me, including (Y/N). Shazam had taken off and everyone was inside the ship except for her and I. She is looking out on the horizon, she was so beautiful, the stars were out. Since the city doesn't show them as often, -I know this because she told me- she loves the stars and misses them. It reminded her of home.

I tap her on the shoulder and she jumped a little. She turns to me and smiles. "Thank you." She looked up at me confused. "For what you said back there. It helped a lot." She tilted her head to the side. "You needed to take control and I didn't know what else to do."
"Well, it is appreciated. I didn't even know you had that in you." She turned bright red and looked down. "I-I couldn't j-just let them talk t-to you like that, it wasn't r-right."

I knew it was now or never, I couldn't contain these feelings anymore. I tilted her head up, so I could see her eyes.

(Y/N) P.O.V

He was so close now, his eyes meeting yours, your cheaks were on fire. You could tell you resembled a tomato. Kaldur's lips had slammed into yours, after a few seconds, getting over the shock of it all, you kissed back. His hands had done down to your waist and yours arms wraped around his neck. It was a while before you had to pull away for air. "(Y/N), I love you, and I have for a while now. You always make me feel at peace."

You were resting your forehead on his, smiling like a dork. You were so happy to hear that. You had no idea how long it would have taken to say it yourself to him if he hadn't said it first. "I love you too Kal, I've aways wanted to say it, but was too shy to." He smiled and you place another kiss on his lips.

At the end of it all, everyone knew you were together.

Hey squad! Hope you liked it, I know it was a while but I did it! I was having a hard time thinking about what to do for Kal, he's not always the easiest guy when it comes to writing stories for him, but I was watching YJ and the idea came to me.

*Music-chan sighs and smiles at what she had acomplished* "finaly done, nice to not have heroes on my case for once." *Kaldur and the rest of the team are hiding where Music-chan can't see them* "See, if you leave her alone she will come around." *Music-chan notices the heroes in their hiding spot and clears her throat* "Thank you Kal, thank you." *Music-chan kisses Kaldur on the cheak and walks away*

*sings* And now it's time to say goodbye!
