Kaldur x Reader

You've been having a predicament for the past two weeks as of late, you've fallen for the Atlantian and leader of the Young Justice team. You, might I add, we're apart of this team. How this happened, you have no idea. But it grows stronger every time you see him, it's like you fall for him all over again each and every day.

You were walking along the halls, trying to on find a way to cure your boredom, you sigh. Just because you were here to watch the mountain, y'know, just incase........ doesn't mean you're just gonna sit there like a soldier for the royal guard or something.

You feel a sudden gust of wind, only to see a certain speedster you were best friends with. "Hey, Wally." You wave, glad to finally have someone to talk to. "Hey there, buddy! I've got something you gotta see!" He exclaimed happily as he grabs hold of you and zips you to a coffee shop called "The Cup o Joe". You give Wally a quizzical look. "Really Wally? The Cup o Joe? How lame is that?" He snickers and opens the door for you. You walk inside none the less.

You take a moment to take in your surroundings, the smell of freshly brewed coffee floats in the air, there were round tables in a small area near the shop window. The cashiers perked up when they heard the little bell ding and smiled your way, Wally being Wally, had already gotten to the counter. You roll your eyes and walk up to the counter where Wally was waiting paitently. "Hey there! What can I get you?" The lady asks, standing in front of the cash register. "I'll get three muffins and a cup of coffee, and my friend will have a (F/D) and a biscuit." Wally ordered for you. He sat you down at one of the tables near the window to wait for your order. "So," He states, putting an elbow on the table and resting his head on his hand. "I think I'm getting close to figuring out who you like~" He teased. You nearly choke on air and blush.

"W-what are you talking about, dude?" You try to avoid eye contact but he stares at you, like he's seeing right through you. "You can't pull that on me, and you know it." He smiles. You sigh, "I'm still not telling you." When you try to glare at him, he whined. "No fair, (Y/N)!" He put his head down on the table and "sulked", but you knew he was faking it. You flicked his forehead.

---time skip---

It was a meeting, the team was discussing something that you had blanked out on, because you were too busy daydreaming about a certain Antlantian. You always admired how easily he can take control of situations while still being so level headed....... and he was nice to look at of course. When Kaldur turned his gaze to you, you quickly made it look like you were paying attention the whole time. Wally, who had been sitting next to you, rested his arm across your shoulder. "Aaaahhh, so he's the one you're smitten for." He wispered, your face exploded in heat. "U-uh, s-shut up Wally." You pushed his arm off but he put it back in place. "Nope, it's my job to tease you now."

You spent the next few minutes trying to get your best friend off you while not getting caught messing around durring a meeting. It didn't work, at first everyone else ignored you since this wasn't the first time this has happened, but Kaldur, although he was good at keeping his composure, you could easily tell he was getting aggitated. You elbowed Wally after a bit and he finally gave in. The rest of the meeting was eventless.

Everyone stood up to go about their day since the meeting was over now, you were about to do the same with Wally when Kaldur pulled you aside. "(Y/N), can we talk for a minute?" He glanced over to Wally before his eyes met yours again, "Alone?" You nodded and he led you away, you looked back to Wally who had a smug look on his face.

You were going to kill him after this.

When you two were alone, Kaldur cleared his throat. "I had noticed you were having trouble paying attention earlier, and I just have to ask...." You were bewildered, Kaldur actually looked stumped on what to say. "Yeah, Kal?" He sighed to himself and took a step forward, grabbing your hands. "Are you and Wally dating?" He asked, you gave him a blank look. "No, Wally is like a brother to me, never in a million years would I go out with him." You chuckled. "Ah, I see." He seemed relieved, but that was the last thought running through your mind before he pulled you close, his hands resting on your waist. "Then I guess you wouldn't mind if I took you out on a date then?" He asked hopefully, you smiled at him. "How can I say no?" He smiled back at you and bent down to give you a kiss. "Tomorrow at 5 o'clock then, meet me here." You nodded and he released you. As he was about to walk away, you stopped him, "Wait." He turned back around to face you, just as he did you pulled him back down to meet your lips again. "I'll see you tomorrow." You smiled when you pulled away. He nodded and you both walked away, thinking about tomorrow.
