Chapter 4: 19
It was January 30th 1980 and Ivy and Lily were turning nineteen.
Ivy and Lily had both requested no presents whatsoever off anyone but James and Remus weren’t having any of it.

“Happy Birthday!” Rhiannon shouted shaking her mother’s shoulder.
“What time is it?” Ivy asked sitting up.
“Seven.” Rhiannon replied.
Ivy smiled and sat up, hugging Rhiannon. “Where’s Dad?” She asked.
“Downstairs.” Rhiannon replied.
Ivy nodded and wandered down the stairs.
“Good morning.” Ivy said, picking Daniel up, who was attempting to crawl up the stairs.
Daniel screamed and began tugging at Ivy’s hair.
Ivy laughed and put him back on the floor.
She walked into the kitchen expecting to find Remus there. But the kitchen was dead.
She looked out the kitchen window and sighed.
Then her eyes fell upon a single sheet of paper on the windowsill.
When you’re ready, meet me in the garden.
Remus xx
Ivy smiled at wandered out to the garden where Remus sat, swinging on the double garden swing.
Ivy ran over and sat beside him, resting her head on his shoulder.
Happy birthday!” Remus whispered.
Ivy smiled. “Thanks.”
Remus stood up and took a big box from behind the oak tree.
Ivy smiled as he handed her the box.
“I said no presents.” She argued.
Remus shook his head. “Just open it.
Ivy sighed and took the lid of the large shoebox.
Inside was a smaller shoebox.
She took the lid off to find a smaller box.
This kept happening until all she was left with was a matchbox.
She opened it to find a diamond and blue topaz ring.
She smiled softly. “Eternity?” She asked.
Remus nodded and sat back down beside her again.
Ivy handed him the ring and he slid it onto her finger above her wedding ring and engagement ring.
Ivy smiled. “Thank you.” She said and she kissed him softly.
