Angela stares at Diane in complete silence. Maggie has brought her out to the garden after she had an encounter with Wendy. Angela asked Maggie to leave them be for a moment. You could hear the birds chirp as nothing else was said. Angela had played the video for Diane.
The video ended five minutes ago. Diane was still staring blankly at the screen. She tries to have patience but it was too much. She leans in snatches the phone out of Diane's hands. Diane flinches but keeps her sight down.
"Your a junior, you shouldn't be acting like a spoil brat people think you are," Angela snarks.
Silence once again. Angela was hoping for a glance or something out of her. Any reaction was something.
"I can't help you if you don't let me," Angela sympathetic says.
Diane glances up to her with tears forming in her eyes. Angela shakes her head. Diane had become so weak this last two years. She has neglected her with everything going on in her life. She felt responsible for not saying the change sooner.
"Was it that bad that I did not notice you change?" Angela asks, "You where so strong with so much energy."
A complete break down. The loud sob echoes in the garden. Angela could feel her heart ache. But she stays in her seat.
"I don't..." Diane begins, "know what ..... to do."
"I can tell you a million things you can start with but it has to come from you," Angela states.
Angela watches as Diane stays silently sobbing in her chair. No matter what was going on she couldn't get through her.
"Why is it so hard to let go of him?" Angela asks.
"Love," Diane says softly.
"Love?!" Angela exclaims.
Angela can feel anger feel her inside again. She take a breathe knowing she couldn't loose it with Diane.
"Sweetie I believe that you think it's love but this isn't it," Angela reassure.
Diane keeps her silence and Angela knew she couldn't reason with her. This was her last resort to get through to her. There's nothing more she is willing to do.
"Have it your way then," Angela says raising her hands in surrender.
Angela dials Maggie quickly. It doesn't get to the third ring when her voice goes through.
"Diane may return to class. I will need her to have a Court with her at all time. She is forbidden on being alone in school till further notice.
"Yes," Maggie says.
Angela hangs up and returns the phone to her pocket. Her headache was returning.
"Do as you please but I can't have any problems in this school. For the sake of everyone else," Angela states.
Diane nods but keeps her sight on the ground.
"This will be the last year I will be able to help you. Understand after I graduate you are on your own. I will not be here to do the hard decisions for you. Take responsibility, be the girl I admired when she entered high school. The same girl that use to call out my bullshit."
The garden's door opens and it's Diane Court lady. Diane slowly stands and looks at her. Angela sighs loudly and waves her to leave.
Diane just stares for a second and then walks to the door. She watches as it closes and silence engulf her.
"Love," she whispers.
Angela laughs softly just thinking about it. There was no such thing in this life. It was a myth to her. The gate door slams open and she started to her feet. Anthony quickly makes his way to her.
"What's with the ruckus?!" She demands.
Angela starts to feel a wave of nausea overcome her. She tries to cover up her discomfort as Anthony stares at her.
"I ran into Lewis after you left," Anthony states.
"What about it?" Angela asks taking a deep breathe.
"What's wrong?" he asks.
"What you want?"
"You're looking pale," he says worryingly.
"I'm fine," Angela states taking a step back.
"I don't involve myself in the Royal gossips but for what he did. I don't think you would risk yourself," he says.
"I got no time for you to beat around the bush. What you want?" Angela snarks.
"What did he do to you that has you shaken up?" he asks.
"Nothing happened. I don't know what your making up in your mind," Angela states awkwardly.
Angela takes three step before she stumbles. Anthonys hand wraps around her waist catching her on time. She quickly squirms her way out of his embrace. She moves away towards a nearby tree. She uses it as support as her eyes become unfocused.
"Hey what's wrong?" Anthony asks.
Angela is about to snap at him when she loses her breathe. Her gag reflexes betray her and she leans forwards. Emptying her almost already empty stomach. Burning her throat and nose with vile. When she is able to control herself once again. She tries to regain her composure but it's futile.
Her feet become too weak and bend beneath her. Anthony once again catches her mid fall. He pulls her towards him. She has no strength to fight it as her head lands onto his chest. She closes her eyes trying to meditate on her breathing.
"Angela speak to me," Anthony worry voice echoes in her ear.
"I'm tired," she whispers as she lets the darkness over take her.
