Jack's Point of View:

I pulled up to the curb next to Anti, who held (Y/N). I noted her hunched shoulders, and shifting glance between me and the street behind me. I sighed as Anti put her in the back seat, buckling her up. My brow raised in question as he sat in front, but he shook his head.

"Ya' get something sweet?" He asked.

"In the trunk," I sighed. "I grabbed a cake from the store."

(Y/N) perked up slightly, and wiped her misty eyes. "C-cake...?"

I smiled, and looked back at her in the rear view mirror. "Mmhmm. A yellow cake with chocolate frosting."

She smiled back, her big, (E/C) eyes brightening significantly. "Yum..."

I turned back to Anti, and my gaze became hard. "Dark knows he shouldn't have left her," I lowered my voice. "I hate to say this, but we can't have him around her again. I don't trust him."

He crossed his arms, and glared out at the road. "Don't worry," he growled. "Dark will know exactly how badly he fooked up."

(Y/N) Point of View:

We sat at the table and ate the cake Jack bought. It was really good. I could tell they were trying to make me smile, with their jokes and stories and the way they were describing Jack's friend, Mark. They said he was a big Man-Baby with a big ego, whatever that meant... but... I felt bad about Dark...

I should've kept my big mouth shut, just like Mommy told me whenever I got into a fit. Whenever she'd tell me that, I'd stop, and start crying, because I thought she wouldn't love me anymore.

Dropping my fork, I looked down at my lap, and tangled my fingers together. All enjoyment left my body, leaving a cold feeling in my chest and stomach. Jack and Daddy stopped talking, and stared at me. I stood, and left the room.

Anti's Point of View:

When (Y/N) left, I looked at Jack, eyes wide. He stared back at me, and I could tell we didn't know what to do. She was upset, but it couldn't be just about Dark, right? I mean... right?

"You should go talk to her," Jack hissed.

I threw my hands in the air, panicking slightly. "About what? I don't know how to do that!"

"She's hurting, Anti! You fookin' piece of shite!"

I stood suddenly, and followed (Y/N). I didn't know the first thing about helping someone who was obviously hurt, but I guess if Jack thinks I can...

"(Y/N)?" I knocked on Jack's bedroom door. "Can I come in?"

She didn't answer.

I tried the door knob, then pushed the door open, stepping in. "(Y/N)?"

She sat in the corner, balled up and shoulders shaking. I could hear her whimpering quietly, her little hand covering her mouth. Her eyes were screwed shut, and for a moment it sounded like she was choking, but then went back to the quiet sobbing.

Panic spiked in my chest, and I rushed over, and scooped her up to my chest. I shushed her, hugging her tightly and kissing her head. Something was wrong.

And I knew it wasn't just because of Dark.

"It's going to be alright," I whispered. "We're going to get through this together."

-w- I have updated again. I did a good. Didn't I? But what exactly is going on with you, Reader? What things lurk in your mind? Well, gonna have to wait to find out...

Probably gonna have to wait a long time, though.

Patience is key.
