A/N: At nalito na po ako kung ano ang every-other day na update ko, kaya eto po ang relatively short update.

She did not look if Richard stopped or turned around, Maine immediately entered the nearest room, closed the door behind her, heaved a sigh of relief and found herself face to face with her Department Head. Uh-oh!

Sa labas, huminto si Richard sa pagkarinig ng 'Maine'. Common ba ang pangalang Maine? Nang lumingon siya, mag-isang nakatayo na ang babaeng kausap niya. Pero sa pagkakatanda niya, dalawa sila kanina. Bilang isang draftsman, matandain siya sa detalye. Yung nakatalikod na babae kanina, mahaba ang buhok na naka-braid, balingkinitan ang katawan, at mga 5'4"-5'5" yung height. Teka...

Luminga-linga siya, "Nasaan na po yung kasama n'yo? Diba dalawa po kayo kanina?"

Tiningnan ni Kakai ang katapat na pinto. "May nakikita ka ba? Imagination mo lang yon. Go na! The conference room? Waiting?"

Samantala, sa loob ng office na pinasukan ni Maine.

"Oh Maine, what are you doing here?"

Seeing several pairs of eyes on her, Maine scrambled to think of an excuse. "Sorry sir, I thought that this is the BizDev Office. I will go now."

"Wait! Since you're already here, I would like you to meet Ms. Ruby, our Facility manager. This is Maine, the newest addition to the Corporate Communications group. Wait Maine, tamang-tama ang dating mo. You were saying something earlier Ruby?"

"Sir, I'm meeting the people from the engineering firm who will assess our planned renovation of our old Science building. Gusto ko sanang ma-cover yung journey from the start until the renovation is completed. With the right treatment, it will make a very good story when the building is inaugurated."

"I agree; that's a good idea. Maine, why don't I make it your first official assignment for the school? The one I asked you to do earlier is just an exercise. This one is light enough and will not be published soon, so you will not be pressured in writing the article on your first week. Better join Ruby in her meeting."

Whew! Close call. Thank God for small favors. I'm safe. Saved by the door.

"I'd be happy to be of help, Ms. Ruby. What time is the meeting?"

"Just about now. Shall we?"

Saka naman bumukas ang pinto at pumasok si Ate Kai. "Maine, bakit bigla kang nawala? Ay, sir, ma'am. Good morning po!"

"Kakai, sumama ka na rin sa meeting nila so you can guide her on what details to extract. Maine will fill you in on the details."

Ate Kai looked at her sharply, as if asking what was this all about. She just shrugged and looked up with an innocent face.

Upon exiting the room, they followed Ms. Ruby to the venue of her meeting. The direction is familiar. They went straight, then turned left at the end of the hallway. Dito siguro lahat ng meeting rooms.

She was hoping they will enter the first door which says "Meeting Room 1". But no, they skipped it. The butterflies in her stomach doubled in numbers when Ms. Ruby turned the knob on the door of the next room with the label "Conference Room". Her heart fell.
