Richard is pacing downstairs. They are going to be late.

He looked up towards the direction of their room. "Matagal ka pa ba mahal? Male-late na tayo sa wedding exhibit. Akala ko gusto mong puntahan lahat ng booth para kumuha ng idea for the wedding?"

Her voice was audible enough to be heard downstairs. "Andiyan na mahal!"

Richard did a double take when Maine started going down the stairs in an offshoulder black number showing a little cleavage with a slit that goes past midthigh.

Maine noticed that her husband became speechless. "What? Bakit natulala ka na?"

Richard recovered and approach her to plant a wet kiss on her lips. He gently held her hair. "Very beautiful mahal. Kaya lang, for my eyes only yan. At exhibit sa mall lang ang pupuntahan natin. You might want to change."

"Pero mahal, gift 'to ni Tita Terrie. An original, mahal. Kahit minsan maisuot." Maine pouted.

"Non-negotiable mahal. Mamaya pag-uwi natin, puwede mo uling isuot yan."

"Pero sabi mo nga late na tayo?" She eyed him trying to see if she can still convince him but he remained unmoved.

"I don't care."

The Mrs has her own too, pet peeve that is. One she's been itching to change ever since she saw him again.

"Mahal? labs?" Richard was rummaging through his part of the closet. "Nakita mo yung ibang neckties ko? Saka parang yung ibang shirt ko, hindi ko na makita sa closet."

Maine responded with an innocent face. Here goes. "Ah yung matitingkad at kulay saka mukang ewan yung mga prints? Nakatabi na for charity."

"Uy, yung iba non sa Singapore ko pa binili."

Maine turned him to face her and caught his face in her hands. "Mahal naman, hindi na lang pangalan mo ang dala mo. Trust me, sa akin din babalik pag hindi okay ang combination mo. It's also my reputation at stake. Hindi mo nakita yung mga binili kong bago mong shirts and slacks? Hindi mo nakita sa bed? I already laid out the clothes you're going to wear today for the presentation."

Richard turned around without saying a word.

"Yes, belated or advanced wedding gift? Ewan! Pero teh, stainless yan, 555 from Divisoria. At symbolic yan bes, para sabihin sa 'yo na hindi mo siya kailangan intaying umuwi bago ka kumain sa gabi. Teh, hindi niya dala ang kaldero ng kanin at ulam."
