Sunday night flashback, habang bumibili ng mailuluto si Ricardo para sa mga bisita

Mamang Rose is still intrigued as to what their visitors' purpose is but not being a meddlesome person, she did not ask questions that will make them uncomrotable. She knows that her son will tell her in time.

Pero bilang pamilyar lang siya sa pinakamalalapit na kaibigan ni Richard, ngayon lang niya nakita na makitungo ang anak niya sa isang babaeng taga-Manila. At halatang hindi mapakali ang binata niya.

After a few minutes of pleasantries, mamang Rose excused herself for a while, which gave the three a time to regroup.

While Maine kept silent, Kakai was agitated. "Ano na gagawin natin? Mukhang papakainin lang tayo tapos pauuwiin na! Teh, ano ba kasi ang ginawa mo at mukhang nagtampururot nang sobra yung mama?"

Maine shrugged and kept to the basics. "I just told him not to be concerned with the problem, that's all."

"Ano ka ba, sinabi nang Tagalog only please. Simulan mo nang magpractice. Ms. Terrie, what do you think. What shall we do? This is clearly an emergency."

"Let me think. Maine, you really need to talk to him alone. I don't think you're seeing things eye to eye. Halatang-halata ang disconnect n'yo. Yung isa nasa Apari, yung isa nasa Jolo, saan kayo magkikita? But how to do that? Nasa teritoryo nila tayo."

"Aha! May nanalo na Ms. Terrie. Ang galing-galing ko talaga, mabibigyan ko ng jacket ang sarili ko! Ganito yun, lapit kayo...... bzzz.... bzzzz ..... O ano teh, diba winner ang idea? Puwedeng pang-Urian awards pag nagawa mo!"

Maine did a recoil after hearing Ate Kai's suggestion. "Are you serious? That's gross! No, no and no!"

"Maka-No ka naman, akala mo wala ng yes. O sige, ikaw ang umisip ng paraan!"

"Maine, I have to agree with Kakai. We really need to do it."

Ano ba kasing problem niya? Are we really not seeing things eye to eye? What disconnect are you talking about? It's a simple business arrangement. We play the part; we act the scene. How difficult can it get?

Although not comfortable with the idea, Maine agreed. "Fine! I'm game if you're game." Beggars cannot be choosers.

Dinner time, Maine felt a headache coming and felt her head and neck. Of course, Tita Terrie immediately noticed. "What is it Maine? Are you okay?"

"Just a slight headache, Tita." she noticed from her peripheral view that Richard stopped eating.

"Ay naku Miss Terrie, mata pa lang mukhang maysakit na. Naulanan ka kahapon no? Tama, ako, huwag ka magdeny. Naulanan ka."

Tita Terrie approached her to feel her forehead. "Naku! Oo nga, iha, ang init mo o! Ang taas ng lagnat mo. Paano tayo uuwi niyan? Ang haba pa naman ng biyahe. Baka sa ospital tayo dumiretso. Ano gagawin natin Kakai? Kailangang-kailangan na nating umuwi."

"Tapos, Ms. Terrie, diba nagloloko pa yung aircon ng kotse? Eh di masasagap ni Maine lahat ng alikabok kung bubuksan natin yung mga bintana. Naku! sureness ako, hindi lang lagnat ang aabutin niyan."
