***Josh's POV***

I sat there staring at my phone screen . Why was he bothering me and how did he get my number?

Ramon: Are you telling Simone about me? Am running out of patience here.

I got up, told Sim bye and left.

I replied to Ramon's text.

Me: Jus give me some time. I don't want to rush her.

Ramon: I don't have time to wait until you are ready. U owe me a favor and I'm calling it in.

I stared at the text as I walk back to my house. Maybe if I don't text back and just avoid him he would stop bugging me.

I had no such luck.

Ramon: You know what will happen if I'm not happy. I have the handle and you have the blade. You don't want to get cut now do you?

They say things you do in your past will come back to haunt you and Ramon was definitely haunting me.

Me: I don't think Simone is going to like you. She's not into bad guys.

Ramon: well its up to you to change her mind Josh. That is, if you don't want anyone seeing that video.

My mind was going around in circles. I needed a solution. Maybe I could just borrow Ramon's phone, delete the video then give it back.

Yeah right.

Ramon was the most despicable, annoying, manipulating person I've ever met. He's the captain of the football team and a bully. Since his parents are rich, he's used to having anything he wants and now he wants to get his hooks into Sim.

My Sim....my best friend.

I walked into my room and plopped down on my bed. I stared at the ceiling, my mind going in all different directions.
I don't want Sim dating Ramon.....but on the other hand Ramon is blackmailing me and I really can't afford to let him release that video.

I was pulled from my thoughts by a knock on my door.

"Its open." I say.

My annoying little sister walked in, clutching my portable DVD player under her arm. "I'm returning this" she said, placing it on my study table.

"I'm sure I didn't lend it to you." I replied getting angry. "How many times have I told you to stay out of my room?!"

She looked at me with bulging eyes. She was really shocked. I've never screamed at Kimberly before but with Ramon blackmailing me, I cant control my anger.

"OK. " She said. She sounded hurt.
"Kim I'm sorry." I said as she was shutting the door behind her.

Ramon is turning me into a monster!

Maybe I should just give in to Ramon. All he wants is for me to convince Simone that he's a good person. But can I do that when I know he's the worst person I've ever met?

The video.

I don't know how I could be so careless. If only I could go back in time. I would have done things differently. That video would have never being made and I wouldn't be in this predicament.

I mentally kicked myself. 'Way to go Josh'

I'm in dire need of a plan to make things right. 'Maybe I could get a job and hire someone to steal Ramon's phone', I thought. 'Or I could just pretend to be a girl and ask him to delete it'. I laughed at my silly ideas. All I have to do is convince Sim to date Ramon. How hard could it be?

Speak of the devil.

I was so wrapped up in my own thoughts that I didn't even realize that Sim was trying to call me. I listened to the voicemail she left. She sounded so lonely. It must be hard for her to be an only child since her sister died. I made a vow to always be there when she needs me and I will take it to my grave.

I called her back and surprisingly it went to voicemail.

"Sim. I guess we're playing phone tag. I just want to remind you that whatever it is, I'm here for you."

Geez I sound like I'm in a relationship with her.

I walked over to my computer and decided to drown myself in some Need For Speed. Sim and I always play together. It was our way to get rid of stress and forget our problems but with Sim being preoccupied lately, we haven't played together in a while. She's being spending a whole lot of time in the library after school ended. I guess she's finally taking her education seriously seeing that this is our senior year.

"Josh. Dinner's ready." My mom called from downstairs. She had a rule that we eat meals at the dinner table like a family should. She is so old fashioned.

I bounced down the stairs and was tackled by the aroma of my favorite meal. Rice and peas with sweet and sour chicken. My sister said grace and we all dug in. We ate in silence for a while then Kimberly started to blabber.
"Mom can I go to the Valentine day ball with Josh please?" she asked.

"No!" I blurted. "It's a senior event. You just started high school."

"I'm covering the event for the school's newspaper and I figured since you won't have a date you would want to save yourself the embarrassment and tag along with me." Yes. My sister is an annoying little geek.

My mom laughed until tears came to her eyes.
"I have a date." I defended myself.

"Who's the unlucky girl?"

"Davia Prince." As soon as the words left my mouth I regretted it. Davia was the most beautiful, most popular girl at school. We have been in the same class since 7th grade and she hasn't spoken to me once.

Kimberly had her mouth agape. "The Davia Prince?" she asked, stunned. "That's not even possible. Not even if you're dreaming."

"Well believe it. She's coming over here to have dinner with us on Thursday." I boasted. Whats wrong with me? Do I love digging graves for myself??

"Oh that's nice son. Ill be meeting your first girlfriend." My mom cheered.

Kimberly had an evil smile on her face. She knew I was lying and I'm going to prove her wrong. I just need Davia to fall for my charming smile. Yea right.

This is going to be the longest week of my life.
