***Josh's POV***

After Veron left the party, Simone seemed a little sad. Maybe it's because she realized she doesn't have much friends besides me and probably Veron. Or maybe she is just missing Samantha. I really miss her too. After all, we were very close.

Simone carried a huge piece of cake to her room and I followed her. Something was really bothering her. I could tell because she had frown lines in her forehead.

"I really like my bracelet Josh." she said as we sat before her television, eating cake.

"I know hon." I replied. "So I heard you and Ramon are an item now. Is that true?"

Her head shot up and there was a wide smile on her face. "N-no we're not." She tried to hide the excitement in her voice.

"You like him don't you?"

"How are things with you and Davia?" She avoided my question.

"We're ok." I replied.

I noticed she was wearing a really expensive necklace.
"Simone where did you get this?" I asked, sounding more jealous than I actually was.

She played with it. "It is a birthday gift."  Her smile was so bright it could blind me.

Trey must have given it to her. I decided not to interrogate her any further.

We watched Double Wedding until Simone fell asleep in my arm. I looked down at her closed eyes. I've missed her so much and since Davia and I started hanging out, I've been neglecting Simone.

I had no idea that I had fallen asleep until Mrs. Channer came to turn off the television early the next morning.

"Wake up sleepy heads." She said.
"But it's early." Simone whined.

"Its also Wednesday." Mrs Channer said. "Your father and I will be leaving in a couple minutes and we won't be back until tomorrow morning. Remember that Veron will be babysitting you tonight."

"Mom. I'm eighteen. I'm not a baby anyone." Simone tried to debate but her mom was already going down the stairs.

"You see J. They don't trust me. They still treat me like a kid."

"Simone, you know they just want to make sure you're safe so quit whining." I told her firmly.

He rolled her eyes. "Whatever."

A text came in on my phone. It was from Davia.

Davia: GET OVER HERE ASAP!! IT'S AN EMERGENCY.

Me: I'm on my way.

"Uhm. Simone I have to go." I kissed her on the cheek and left.

I wondered what is happening over at Davia's house. She wrote the text in all caps so it must be very serious.

I walked as fast as my legs could carry me, breaking into a jog every few minutes.

When I finally reached and knocked on her door, I was out of breath.
"What took you so long?" Davia asked once she answered the door.
I followed her up to her room hurriedly, my heart beating way too fast.

She walked over to her closet and pointed up. I followed her finger with my eyes.
"What's up there?" I asked.

"My Louis Vutton handbag." She said. "I can't reach it."

So this is the emergency? Really?

I sighed. "But there is a bag on your bed. Why don't you wear that?"
