*** Simone's POV***

I felt bad for leaving Josh with Trey. I hope he was not being too hard on Josh. I know how he gets jealous easily.

I grabbed my bag from the garage and strolled through the kitchen. My mom was almost finished cooking by now.
"Tell your boys they'll be joining us for dinner."  She told me.
I left my backpack on the kitchen floor and took my book upstairs just in time to hear the last part of the boys' conversation.

".....and I hope you treat her good." I heard Josh say.

"I hope so too." I heard Trey reply.

He hoped so? What did he mean by that. It sounded as if he was planning to do something I would regret. I didn't want to think like that. Trey is not that type of person.

I went in and handed Josh the math book.

"Well I guess I'll get going then." Josh said once he took the book.

"No you won't. " I told him. "You both will be staying for dinner."

Josh shot me a terrified look as he shifted his weight to the other leg. "I can't stay for dinner. I have a date." I didn't know whether Josh was lying or not.

"Hmmmm....you're taking Davia out? How wonderful." Sarcasm dripped from my voice.

"You're dating Davia Prince?" Trey asked.

"How do you know Davia?" I asked Trey. I can't recall ever mentioning her to him and he isn't a past student of our high school....at least I don't think he is.

"So where are you taking Davia?" Trey asked Josh, totally ignoring my question.

"W-we're just going to have ice cream." Josh stuttered and I instantly knew he was lying. He just didn't want to be around Trey for some reason.

"Dinner is ready!" I heard my mom shout from downstairs.

We all went down and Josh excused himself and left. My mom was overwhelmed to hear that he had a date. My dad however, told him he was just wasting his time.

Trey sat next to me at the dinner table and we began eating. Halfway through the meal I felt Trey's hand sliding slowly up my thigh. My eyes bulged and my heart started racing at the thought of my parents catching us. They were sitting across from us at the table for heaven's sake. What was Trey thinking?

I tried my best not to react to his touches. My mom and dad were chatting away not knowing the delicious sin that was taking place in their own home.

Trey continued rubbing my thigh as I placed a spoon of rice into my mouth. He gave my leg a gentle squeeze, causing me moan and almost choke.

"Honey. How many times have I told you to chew your food properly?" My mom scolded me.

"Don't worry Mrs. Channer. I know CPR." Trey butted in making my mom chuckle a bit.

We continued our meal, Trey finally stopped touching me. He seemed to be enjoying the meal and my parents' company and the feeling seemed to be mutual. I wonder how they would react when I tell them that we are in a relationship.

"Veron..." my Dad spoke to Trey who seemed to be enjoying the meal a little too much because he didn't answer. My dad called his name twice, at least the name he knows him as, but he didn't respond. I had to nudge him in his side with my elbow before he finally realized that my dad was talking to him.

"Yes?" he finally answered.

"Where did you're mind go a while ago?" my dad chuckled.

Trey smiled. "You're wife is an amazing cook. I can't help it. Her cooking ignites my taste buds."
Trey is just charming his way into the hearts of my parents and they seemed to be buying it. How could they not know that Veron isn't his correct name. My dad is a smart man....I wondered if he knows.

"We're going out of town to a function next week Wednesday. Would you mind babysitting Simone for us?"

"I'm not a child!" I gave my dad an evil look.

"There's no way we're leaving you here by yourself." My mom said, finalizing my dad's command.

I sulked, trying to keep up appearances.  The rest of the dinner was silent except for my dad's noisy chewing.

"This was a lovely meal Mrs. Channer."  Trey complimented after he cleaned his plate.

"You can call me Raquel and thank you very much sir." My mom couldn't hide her wide toothed grin. She loved when people complimented her cooking.

"I'll walk you out Veron." My dad said and they both left. I started clearing the table, helping my mom out. After her shift at the hospital, then coming home to cook she really needs a helping hand although she would never admit that.

"So. Tell me about Josh's girlfriend." She said letting her head rest in hands like a teenager in love. "Is she your friend?"

"No." I answered bluntly.

"Oh. Maybe you could invite them both to dinner sometimes so I can get to know her better."

I turned to face her. She had a genuine smile on her face. "Mom just let it go." I shouted. "Josh is not your son!" I stomped out of the kitchen leaving my mom bewildered.

I have no idea why I reacted like that. Its not like I don't want Josh to have a girlfriend, its just that I don't want Davia to be the one to take him from me.
