Chapter 27

***Simone's POV **

It has been one week since Josh caught Trey and I kissing and he hasn't spoken to me since then.
He was ignoring all my calls and texts and I didn't know what to do. I don't like when Josh is angry at me. It gives me a queer feeling in the pit of my stomach.

I sighed as I got ready for another awkward day at school. Our history assignments were due today and I know Ramon and I didn't do a good job.

Trey was extra nice to me since Josh found out about us. He bought me flowers yesterday and as I walked down to the car this morning, I saw him holding a box of heart-shaped chocolate.

"Good morning beautiful. These are for you." He said as he handed them to me.
I smiled weakly. "Thanks."

As we drove, Trey kept eyeing me. "Are you ok babe?" he asked.

"I will be."

"Let me guess. Josh is still not speaking to you, right?" he asked and I nodded.

"Don't worry about that. He'll soon come around. Just give him some time." Trey tried to council me.

"I really hope he'll come around sooner rather than later." I learned my hand on the door and rested my head in my hand. My only friend was not taking to me.
Classes today were extra boring and I moped through all of them. History class was ok. Ramon tried talking to me but I was hardly listening.

"What's wrong Simone?" he asked for the hundredth time.

"It's nothing." I shook my head. "Josh isn't speaking to me."

"Ah." he said. "And why is that so?"

Should I tell Ramon that Josh caught me kissing my boyfriend? No way!

"It's fine, ok?" I told him and he nodded.

I gave in our history assignment and left hurriedly once class ended and as luck would have it, I saw Josh in the hallway.

"Josh...." My voice sounded sad and shaky.

"What do you want?" he said angrily.

"I want you to forgive me."

"Forgive you?" he said as he stepped closer to me. "You don't deserve my forgiveness. I thought I was your friend, someone you could tell anything....but I guess I was wrong."

He walked off leaving me dumbfounded in the hallway and I tried not to cry.

Trey is the only one who can comfort me right now. Ever since Josh stopped talking to me, Trey's attitude has changed for the better.

When I got outside, Trey was already here and he was talking to a girl......... Davia!

I hid behind a tree and watched them. They talked for a while then Trey looked down at his watch then glanced into my direction. Davia nodded then they both hugged and Trey kissed Davia on her forehead.

My heart fell to the ground. All this time he was cheating on me with Davia Prince? Was that why he had her picture as his screensaver?

I can't let myself think like that. There must be some explanation to all of this.

I sighed heavily and walked toward the car.
"Hey princess. How was your day? " he asked innocently.

" It was great." I said through gritted teeth.  "Why are you here to pick me up so early?"

"I had to meet with someone." He said as he put the car into drive.

"Who did you meet?" I enquired.
