Junior left before Miles got back. When Miles came back looked like head was going to throw up or throw something. The last thing he told me was he needed space and slammed the bathroom door behind him. I couldn't barge in there and ask him what was wrong. Hell I was surprised about these new feelings that I was feeling.

I decided to leave Miles alone and let him calm down. I smiled to myself when I thought of Junior making me laugh. I realized that he cursed in front of me. He usually doesn't do that. I guess it slipped and he didn't notice either.

The next day Miles and I got ready for class. Miles was awfully quiet as he got dressed. It made me a bit uneasy.

"The tape will keep him shut."

"Jasper?" I blinked rapidly and looked at Miles. He had his jacket in his hand and a text book in another. He was staring at me with worried eyes. "You good? Do you need to stay again?"

I shook my head. "No, I'm good. I think the Professors are tired of giving me breaks."

Miles flinched and bit his bottom lip. "Jasper you know why they need to give you breaks."

"I know," I said softly. "I was kidding."

Miles nodded but I knew he felt uncomfortable about the subject. I tried to tell myself that I was over whatever happened but his words would appear, almost as if he was next to me, whispering them in my ear.

"Then I'll make you stay away."

I looked to my right and my body froze. He was standing next to me with an ugly smirk on his face and his blue eyes glowing with mischievous. I was definitely going insane. "You're so cute, Jasper."

I swallowed the lump in my stomach and quickly walked out of the dorm with Miles following me. "Yeah, I'm good."

Yeah right. Keep telling yourself that. Junior met up with me and walked me to class. Miles glared at Junior but I glared at him before he could say anything. He could tell that I didn't want to argue with him so he let Junior walked me to class.

"I'll beat your ass if he gets hurt," Miles threatened and walked away.

"Damn. Is everyone in your family jerks?" Junior asked.

I chuckled. "You piss everyone off, J. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets mad at you."

"I didn't do anything wrong!" I stared at him blankly. "Okay to you but the other stuff, yeah."

We continued to walk and Junior left me by the door.

"What do you want for lunch?" He asked.

I scrunched my eyebrows. "I'm not sure yet. Why?"

"I'm buying and you're not going to whine about it."

"Junior—"

"Nope. I can't hear you. Bye."

He walked away before I could tell him that I didn't want him to buy me anything. I was used to getting stuff on my own that if somebody bought me something, then I would have to pay them back. I walked inside and sat at my usual seat. I took out my notebook and waited for the teacher to start the lesson. I stared straight at the chalk board because I had a feeling some people were looking at me.

"I can't believe he came back."

"Why is he here?"

"Maybe he's lying about the abuse."

I flinched and looked around the class to see no one staring at me. They were in their own little world, talking to their friends, or studying, or waiting for the teacher. I looked back at the chalkboard and sighed, sulking down on my seat.
