Noelle and Lamarcus walked hand in hand down the busy streets of Dallas, for Lamarcus had decided to take Noelle on a night on the town. Since, both, Noelle and Lamarcus had been too familiar with the San Antonio area, Lamarcus decided to take a road trip down to Dallas to give Noelle the opportunity to see more of the state of Texas.
Noelle had just recently moved in with Lamarcus, for they were finally engaged after three years of exclusively seeing one another, so it was only right for Lamarcus to take her on this adventure for the weekend.
"Where are we going, baby?" Noelle asked her fiancé, squeezing his hand tightly as she walked beside him. Looking down at Noelle, Lamarcus smiled, "White Rock Lake. It's getting dark out, and the view is so much more amazing when the stars are illuminated."
Nodding in understanding, Noelle looked around at the many people who had their eyes on her and Lamarcus. She had to admit that the constant stares still made her uneasy, even after three years of being in the spotlight alongside Lamarcus, but she wouldn't let that be evident to anybody around her.
Noelle's eyes quickly shifted to the sight in front of her— a bridge that towered above the clear watered lake, surrounded by green trees and plants. A smile appeared on her face as she took in the scenery around for; Lamarcus was right— it was a breathtaking view once nighttime hit.
Lamarcus and Noelle blocked out the civilians around them, whether if they were walking around the bridge, walking across the bridge, or simply taking pictures of the two standing in the middle of the bridge. Lamarcus let go of Noelle's hand slowly and rested his elbows against the bridge, leaning in a bit to intake the water that flowed beneath him and his lover.
"You were right, baby. It's beautiful," Noelle admitted, leaning over a bit as well to admire the motion of the water as it made its way downstream. "I remember my parents used to take me here back when I was a child. I always begged to come here during every break from school I had— spring break, winter break, Thanksgiving break, summer break— you name it. This place always gave me a sense of comfort that I couldn't explain," Lamarcus began, "It was a type of feeling that couldn't be spoken about— you actually had to experience it for yourself."
Noelle looked up at her partner who was still admiring the water below him, letting a smile tug at the corners of her lips. Lamarcus looked so peaceful in this habitat, as though he could stay here all day and all night if he had the choice to. Although he was always peaceful when he was around her, Noelle sensed the vibe that oozed from Lamarcus' body; it was different from anything she had ever experienced with him, and she loved it to the very utmost.
Sliding her arm closer to his, Noelle intertwined her fingers with Lamarcus', rubbing his knuckles with her thumb. "Is that Noelle?" a voice asked loudly, causing Noelle and Lamarcus to turn their attention towards the right side of them, observing a tall, dark skinned man who looked to be in his mid-20's approaching them.
"Do you know him?" Lamarcus asked as he looked down at Noelle, furrowing his eyebrows. Noelle shook her head slowly in a confused fashion as she kept her eyes on the man. As the man finally stood in front of the happy couple, Noelle noticed his distinct features; muscular arms with a small goatee and curls on top of his head, for you could tell he had just gotten a fresh line up, pearly white teeth, and dark brown eyes. Noelle would've been lying to herself if she said the man wasn't attractive, but she knew without a doubt that he didn't have a thing on Lamarcus— nobody did in her book.
"May I help you?" Noelle asked as she watched the man look her up and down while licking his lips, feeling Lamarcus' hold on her hand grow tighter. "Actually, you can. I was wondering if you knew where the nearest restroom is," he asked, giving Noelle a bright smile.
Before Noelle could open her mouth to speak, Lamarcus' deep voice echoed throughout the park, catching the attention of the young man, making him look up at Lamarcus, "You really came over here to ask us that?"
"Well, technically, I was asking the young lady here, not you," the young man replied, shrugging his shoulders. Noelle looked up to see Lamarcus' eyes darken, causing her to look back at the man standing in front of her, who had then, turned his attention back to her.
"I really don't appreciate you speaking to my fiancé that way, sir. You coming up to ask me where the bathroom is alright, but you're honestly doing extra things that don't need to be done," Noelle explained, "I would appreciate it if you apologized to my fiancé, as well as myself."
The young man furrowed his eyebrows slightly at Noelle and looked up at Lamarcus' face, only to see a smirk replace the frown he wore earlier. Looking back down at Noelle, the young man sighed, "I apologize for ruining your evening, ma'am. I suppose I got a little too excited because I recognized who you were from your Instagram posts and all; have a good night."
Noelle noticed his incapability of apologizing to Lamarcus, watching as he turned on his heel and walked away from the duo. Turning around slowly, she looked up at Lamarcus who was watching the young man walk away still. The young man turned his head back towards Noelle and Lamarcus, staring at Noelle's backside since she was facing the opposite direction. Catching his glimpse, Lamarcus quickly gripped Noelle's ass, giving it a slap, which caused her to jump and gasp.
The young man scoffed and shook his head, turning his attention back to the pathway in front of him, causing Lamarcus to chuckle under his breath, looking down at his future wife and locking eyes with her. "Why'd you do that, baby?" Noelle asked, biting down on her bottom lip from the stinging sensation on her right butt cheek.
"Just letting everyone know who you belong to."
i hope you enjoyed it, noelle! ♡
