Chapter 18

It was the morning after the festival and everyone was in their rooms. Well, except for Kimberly who was in her best friend's room since Iori got back with her.

All four of them were sitting in the room in casual clothes and looking at the youngest girl, Kim, as she had just finished telling them what had happened the night before with Tsubaki.

Lucy hugged her tightly and rested her chin on Kim's shoulder as she spoke, "Don't worry, if you want revenge, we'll take your revenge!," in an enthusiastic tone which made the girl laugh.

"Yes! We can even beat him up for you!" Exclaimed Amber as she put on an evil face which made everyone in the room, laugh.

Kim pulled away from Lucy's hug, after a lot of struggle, and said, "Guys, its fine. If I want revenge, you'll be the first ones to know. And I'm fine so lets not talk about that? And I wanna know what happened with you guys!"

Everyone laughed at this and Amber started by telling about what happened with her Fuuto, "We just watched the fireworks together with him acting seductive-a little- and nothing else happened. What about you, Cy?"

"We just had cotton candy together before he had to go back to Wataru. Aishh." Nancy said with an annoyed look which made everyone laugh at her.

Now, all eyes were on Lucy.

She looked at them with an eyebrow raised before nodding and speaking, "That 'someone' was Kaname," "I knew it!" Kim and Amber replied in unison before laughing while looking at each other.

"Yeah, so. We met, talked, kissed, and no we did not fuck. And I don't know if he's serious or not but okay he's nice and all." Lucy admitted with a smile on her face and Kim rested her head on Lucy's shoulder.

"Two fuckers together. Damn." Amber said with a nod and the four of them laughed at that. They were having a lot of fun talking about things but Amber knew one thing for sure.

When Nancy and Lucy had left to go back- since it was the last day and the Asahina's were also going back- Amber suddenly hugged Kim tightly and she hugged her back.

"You want to cry, don't you?" Amber asked in a whisper like tone and all Kim could do was nod with her eyes closed. She really wanted to cry but she couldn't. Not in front of so many people, even if they were her best friends.

"I-I was sc-scared. An-And I f-felt so weak-" Kim didn't continue and quietly sobbed on her best friends' shoulder with her eyes closed. Amber patted her head and stroked her hair as she tried to calm her down.

"But you are safe now. Nothing can harm you now." Amber said and she nodded with a small smile. Kim continued to cry quietly while Amber was hugging her the whole time.

After a while of crying, they pulled away and Amber wiped her dry tears and kissed her forehead. "Thank you." Kim told her with a smile and Amber nodded.

"Now get your suitcase or bags or whatever, we're leaving, did you forget?" Amber said with a laugh and Kim nodded while getting the luggage which were in the cupboard. She had gotten her luggage from the other room in the morning only.

"The seating pattern will be same. Are you okay with it?" Amber asked her and she nodded. "I'll be fine. You'll be there, so it's totally fine!" Kim exclaimed with a big smile as they made their way out of the room with one suitcase each and Kim also carried a small bag.

When they walked out of the room, they saw that everyone was there and they were the last ones to arrive.

Noticing their presence, Masaomi said, "Now that everyone is here, let's go back!" Everyone agreed and started walking out but then Kim stopped as if she forgot something, "I'll be right back!" She said before running back into house and into the room where her best friends stayed to see that she has indeed forgotten her phone there.

"Out of all the things, I was about to forget my phone. Wow, me!" She said to herself as she walked out the mansion to see that Iori was waiting for her, with both of their suitcases.

When he realized she had come back, he smiled at her and locked the door with the key that Masaomi had given him.

"Let's go now?" Iori asked her and she nodded while looking at the ground. The cars were near, just a 5 minutes walk but that is enough time.

"Iori-kun?" Iori looked at her with shock as she said her name with -kun. This is the first time she has called someone with that suffix and he felt a little proud to be the first one to be called that.

After realizing that he had been staring for a while, he replied to her, "Yes, Kim-chan?"

She smiled at him before speaking, "Thank you for yesterday. Really, thanks a lot." She looked down at the ground after saying that.

Iori smiled to himself and patted her head and she looked up at him like a lost puppy. He laughed slightly at that. "I'll always be there for you." He said which made her flustered.

She thanked the gods because just as he said that, they reached the cars and saw that only one was left which consisted of Natsume, Tsubaki and Amber just like the last time.

Iori put the luggage in the trunk of the car before sitting inside, right next to Kim who was in the middle with Amber on her other side.

Kimberly quickly took out her earphones and plugged them in her phone and started listening to music as soon as the car started moving.

"Seriously, this girl." Amber shook her head at her behaviour while the others laughed.

But nonetheless, Amber was happy to see that Kim was still her usual self.
