Chapter 23

"All the best, Kim!" Amber hugged Kim and kissed her cheek. It was the day her exams started and she was really nervous even though she studied really hard for it.

"Thanks, and you too!" Well, Kim wasn't the only ones who's exams started today.

"Let's do our best, okay?" Amber nodded at her question as they walked out of their room and went to eat the breakfast.

"Morning, students. Good luck to you all." Ukyo said to them as Ema and him put the plates for everyone there.

"Thanks!" Amber replied from both of their side as they sat down next to each other. Iori was sitting in front of her. He smiled at her and she smiled back while eating her food.

"Remember, not to waste time on a question if you aren't able to do it. You can come back to it later. And read the questions properly." Ukyo reminded them as they finished their breakfasts and started walking out of the mansion together.

Amidst the breakfast, Kim received a text message on her phone and she opened her phone to see that it was a message from Tsubaki.

"Good luck on your exams, Kim-chan~!"

She replied with a "Thanks :)"  before turning her phone off and putting it in her bag. You can't blame her, she's still not over that incident.

And being near him, makes her feel uncomfortable, just like that day when she was teaching Ema.

"Oh~? If it's not my imouto-chans and otoutos studying~!"

Tsubaki came with a cheeky grin and Azusa along with him and sat down on a chair near Kim.

"Are you free after this, Kim-chan?" He suddenly asked her and she looked away from him, trying to think of a reply but Iori beat her to it.

"No, I have to help her with Japanese after this." Iori stated with a dark smile and Tsubaki looked away annoyed before getting up from his seat and going away.

It seemed like he is still annoyed at Iori.

Iori sighed before shaking his head and smiling comfortingly at Kim who was sweating a little. She saw his smile and smiled back while mouthing a 'thank you' to him.

"Good luck all." Kim said to Ema, Iori and Yusuke and all of them wished each other before separating to go to their own school.

"Do you have a goal for these exams? Like, 'you'll do this if you get these'?" Iori asked her as they walked in the direction of their school.

Kim looked up before shaking her head. She wanted good grades, but she didn't really have a goal this time. She had everything she needed and she didn't want to be greedy, especially at a crucial time of her education.

"Then," Iori stopped, also making her stop and smiled at her. "If you get all A's, will you go on a date with me?"

Kim's eyes widened at this, she certainly did not expect him to ask this, especially at this time.

Iori's smile faltered since he thought that she is rejecting him but it soon returned as Kim smiled at him and replied with a blush, "S-sure!"

He chuckled at her cuteness and caressed her cheek with his hand and kissed her forehead, "good luck," whispering this to her, which only made her blush harder.

"So, your exams are today, right?" Kaname asked from the other side of the phone and Lucy sighed.

"Yes. They start in an hour and God, you have no idea how anxious I feel right now!" Lucy exclaimed as she continued walking to her school.

She heard him chuckle on the phone and before she could scold or yell at him for laughing at his girlfriend's misery, he said something else.

"How about I give you a 'surprise' if you do good in your exams?" He asked in a flirtatious tone which only made her smirk with a slight blush.

"Then maybe I'll be willing to do good today." She replied back in the same tone, making him chuckle again.

"I'll be waiting eagerly for your results, then!"

"Amber-chan, aren't you nervous?" Ema asked her as the trio was in the train, which they took everyday to get to their school.

"I am. Trust me, I'm really nervous. So nervous that I'm quiet." Amber replied which made Ema giggle as Yusuke looked at her in a confused manner.

"Seriously, why are you even nervous? Its not like you're a bad student or anything!" Yusuke exclaimed at her making her laugh loudly.

"Yeah so what? I can always improve- and I will improve. Are YOU even ready for exams?" Yusuke looked at the other side after clicking his tongue.

They talked a little before getting off the train when their stop came and then started walking.

Amber's phone suddenly vibrated and she saw that it was a text from Fuuto.

"Nee-chan, good luck for your exams! If you do good, I just might give you a surprise~<3"

Amber giggled at his message and quickly replied a thank you before sending it to him.

You can say she's somewhat getting used to Fuuto and his annoying personality.

Nancy walked to her school while revising the formulas in her head and also the dates and all in history.

"Why do we have exams....." She muttered to herself while walking. She was already pissed off at school and when exams were there, she was just so stressed out.

Suddenly, her phone vibrated and she opened it to see a message from Natsume.

"Do well and I'll take you out to eat."

It wasn't romantic or anything, but it got her blushing.

I mean, who wouldn't if a hot guy-who comforted you when you needed it the most- promised to take you out to eat?

Nancy blushed before replying a thanks to him as she continued walking.

'Maybe exams won't be that bad,' she thought as she walked in the school with a smile on her face.
