On The Run

Chapter 4

I awoke underneath a car so I crawled out and look for Luis. He was on the highway, his body was still. I pulled off the highway and asked him "Are you ok?"
He didn't reply. He was still breathing so I shook him again and he didn't get up. I got up and started looking for Juang and he wasn't anywhere to be seen. He got away. Luis woke up when I got back to him and he said "Where is he?"
"He got away."
"We have to go Luis because 911 is coming."
We started running into the woods were we stop and camped out and made a fire. Luis asked "How are we going to find him now?"
"I'll find a way Luis."
We went asleep and the next morning we went out to the highway to check out the damage. There was police everywhere and the fire department was there also trying to find people. One of the firemen asked "You guys need something?"
"No sir were just here to see what happened." I said
"Well some guy started shooting at a person in a car and some witness said he went out exit 69."
I turned to Luis and said "That's where were going."
Luis and I started to walk to exit 69 and went to the hotel 5 blocks away from the exit. We went up to the woman at the desk and asked "Did a man by the name of Juang Lovein check out a room?"
The woman replied "No and why do you want to know?"
"Because were his family and he ran away from the house and were trying to find him." Luis said
"Oh I'm sorry here take my number and I'll call you if I hear anything."
"No no we cant take your number were fine but thank you".
As Luis was saying that she already wrote it on a sticky note and handed it to me. "Thanks but we don't need it."
"Its not a request." She replied
We took her number and walked out. Luis turned to me and said "She was hitting on you."
"No she was not she was being friendly."
"Whatever" Luis said
We started walking towards a car dealership to ask more questions and to hope that someone seen Juang. Thankfully they did and they told us that it had a tracker on it. So I called Brad again and said "I need you to track a car."
He sat there in silence and then said "You killed your father."
I was stunned. I couldn't say besides "ughhhh"
"You did kill your father!"
"No Brad I was framed I swear Juang is framing me I promised."
"You think after putting your mother in a coma and killing your father is going to convinse me that you are framed!"
"Brad please believe me I'm telling the truth!"
But before you know it Brad hung up the phone. I told Luis the bad news and asked "Now how are we going to find him now?"
"We need to learn how to see where he last was."
Luis said "Well we can go to a library and look something up on the computer."
I nodded and we didn't know where to find a library so we called the girl at the hotel. "What's that girl name again Tommy?" Luis asked
"Violet Jones" I said
So I called her and she immediately and said "Hello who is this?"
"Hello this is Tommy Lincoln that guy that you talk to about my missing sibling." I said
"Oh hi Tommy what's up?" She said
I asked "Do you know where a library is?"
She replied "Oh yea near the the hotel there is just go down the street and take a right."
"Ok thank you talk to you later."
"Bye."
Me and Luis started walking back to the hotel. We did as she said and went down the street and took a right and there it was. We walked inside and asked for a computer one and two. Luis got in computer one and got in computer two. I looked up how to find a location on somebody. Suppressing I found a website that worked well. I looked up Juang Lovein and it all came up for me. His last know location his relative's. I called over to Luis and said "I found a website that works good."
Luis walked over and sat next to me in a chair. He said "What does it say?"
"It says that he was last seen at cell phone store in New York."
"How did he get to New York?"
"It says he bought a train ticket also."
Luis and I looked at each other and we knew what we had to do. Luis reached inside his pocket and looked for money and said "We don't have anymore money Tommy we must of lost it during the crash."
"Now what are we going to do?" I asked
"Well you have violet's number and we can ask her."
"We don't know her though and plus what if she finds out that so called killed my father."
"She's our only option right now and frankly our best one."
I pulled out my phone and called Violet. She picked up and said "Yes this is Violet."
I said "Hi this is Tommy again and I got a question for you."
"Oh hi Tommy what's up?" She asked
I said "Well my brother is in New York and we don't have any money for a train ticket so."
"I see where your going with this and yes I can but on one condition."
I said "go on"
"Only if I get to come I have never actually been to New York."
I turned to Luis and said "Sure why not We could always use some help."
She said "Ok then meet me at the hotel at 5:00 and I'll be there with the money."
"Thank you Violet." I said then hung up the phone
Me and Luis walked over to the hotel and 7 blocks away we saw police waiting at the hotel and Luis asked me "Did she try to trick us?"
"Here I'll call her and ask." I replied
Luis said "If she set us up?"
I said "No just don't worry about it."
I called Violet and said "why are cops at the hotel?"
"Because there was a gas leak in the building its fine come over."
Luis shook me and said "Tell her to come over here."
And so that's what I did. She came walking over and gave us the money. She said "Let's go I know where the train station is just hop in my car."
I asked her "Why is your car parked so far away?"
She said "Because those gas leaks been happening lately so I park farther away."
I didn't ask anymore questions and got into the car. She put in the keys in the ignition and before we got going a police officer said "You two look familiar."
Luis and I looked at each other with nervousness and I said "No you are thinking of the wrong people."
He looked at us and his eyes grew bigger and said "Your Luis Obispo and Tommy Lincoln!"
I had no time to hesitate and I push on violets leg to start going and yelled "Drive!"
She awnsered "Wait why?"
I said "I tell you later but you need to drive now!"
