Tonight's The Night...

I'd got 4 missed calls from Seth. What shall I do? Should I ring him back? He'd come home from rehab and had medication given to him to handle his moods. Did I wanna see him? I don't know what we were right now. An item or two sepreate people going in different directions.... I came downstairs and I opened the kitchen door. "Surprise!" A smile spread across my face. Mum, Dad and my bros had planned a surprise breakfast. "Awwww! All my  favourites! Pancakes with Chocolate spread and Bacon Sandwiches!"

I sat down at the table and Mum sorted out a drink for and me and Dad was talking to Otis. "So? Did you ask her out? That girl you was telling me about?" Ooo! Family gossip! This was the best!" Me and mum sat at the table as quietly as we could. "Well. I've asked her out and we are going to the movies actually!" Mum's fork dropped!😂 "Thanks mum for eavesdropping. All I'd like is privacy."  He walked back into the hallway. "All I wanted to know is where my baby boy was taking his date!" I giggled. "You're being nosy really mum." She shot me a death stare! Milo then walked in and he said.. "Well, you'll know nothing from now on!" He went  back upstairs. Dad looked at Mum. "Babe. That serves you right for eavesdropping! And don't think I didn't see you listening either Missy!" I went silent. Dad laughed. "What's the deal with you and Seth anyway?" Dad looked at me. Oh great. Now the tables were turned... I wanted the ground to swallow me up! My cheeks turned pink..😩😩 "Erm... I don't know?" I really didn't want to talk about this. Mum looked at me and raised her eyebrows. "What do you mean by "I don't know?.." sweetheart?" My facial expression shifted. I decided to change the subject. "Well. He's out of hospital now and he's on medication so everything is fine.' I looked away. Why did I fake my feelings and emotions when inside I felt extremely shattered?

"Well that's excellent! That means he can get better" Dad continued washing the pots. "Dad. If you wanna say something, just say it!" I blurted out angrily. Wow. That sounded harsh.  But still.. why couldn't he say what he was thinking? "But?... Am I missing something?" She looked at me. "But he wants to see me and I don't know if I'm ready." I said slowly. Mum looked at Dad and nodded. Mum toon my hand and followed me upstairs. "Listen to me. Seth loves you and you love him. Make sure you're careful please." I looked at mum. She held me for ages. "It's just... I don't know how to help him. I do still love love Seth with every single bone in my body. I just wanna scream sometimes. Do you know how much I've wanted to give up on us?" Mum held me tight. "Oh sweetheart."

I then looked through the window.. "Mia darling. Tell me what's wrong." She looked at me and a tear dropped. "He said he wants towards the next step of our relationship. He has everything and I'm not even ready. He didn't brag to anyone about it. He's not like that. He's obviously told Otis as they are best friends." Mum stroked my hair. "I'll talk to your dad. He needs to know about this. Before you to any further. Don't let Seth pressure you though. It's not right for a boy to do that."
