A girl from the underground has been killing for money since she was young, with a history of theft and murder. But when she is requested to go to the scouts or military which will she choose and will Humanity's Strongest persuade her decision for...
Morning is my favourite time of the day. The world is just waking up, you can just make out the lights of the underground glittering like stars in the night sky. Although, I've never actually seen the night sky, I'd imagine it to look like that.
If I remember correctly there is a punch bag in the attic...
I sneak out the bed careful not to wake up Olivia, I want her to get as much sleep as she can fit in before we get going again. I make my way to the corridor, every step the old, wooden floor groans in protest. I'm surprised Olivia hasn't woken up yet.
It's really disgusting here, dust clings to every part of the house, it also reeks of dry blood. Every step an old unwelcome memory pops up, but I push them back. There's the attic handle, if I remember correctly you have to push then pull the handle-
'Creak'
Yep, here's the beauty, I used to practice with this every chance I got. I remember nearly every time he left the house, I would rush up the stairs and drag the bag back down to the living room and practice till I practically collapsed of exhaustion. Mum would say that there was no point, he was just too strong for me to try and beat him but that just made me want to train even harder. She would also say that my brother would be back soon to take us back up to the house we used to live in above ground with the everlasting natural light from what they call the sun, I can't remember much about the outside world, but it has to be better than this.
I only lived there for 10 months, then mum met Mark and everything changed. He then told her he lived underground, and that she should come down there with him. She said she was so in love that she followed him with me and my brother, not thinking about the consequences. He said that he loved her and that sometimes he got angry but he would get better if she was to go with him and now that they had me they could start a proper family from scratch in the underground...
"AHHH"
I punched, kicked, pushed, clawed and ripped the the punch bag till it was just material jumbled on the floor, it looked like an animal had ate it and gave up and just decided to rip it to shreds instead.
I cursed under my breathe, that was supposed to last for longer, until my anger had run out but it had only just started to build up. I needed to let it out-
"Auntie Y/N, you okay?"
I turned to see Olivia looking at me with her tawny hair sprawled over her sleepy face. The blanket trailing behind her fragile form, her little feet bare on the cold concrete. She looked up at me with concern written in her tired, almond shaped, eyes.
"C'mon, Auntie, let's get ya inside, don't want ya to catcha' cold out here."
And almost immediately all my anger evaporated into thin air, the hatred and anger towards my father forgotten with one look at my little nieces face.
"Okay, I'm coming."
She put her hands up indicating that she wanted me to pick her up. I smiled and gently lifted her and the blanket onto my waist careful to keep it wrapped round her so she stayed warm. She kissed my forehead and snuggled into my hair.
"Auntie."
"Yeah?"
"Your eyes are normal now, back to the pretty blue colour."

"Okay, thanks for telling me."
She nodded against my shoulder. Again? Every time I get angry or think about my childhood my eyes go a dark red colour, like blood. Olivia is used to it now, but I'm worried, as I've gotten older it's happened more frequently, actually now it's everyday. But this early in the morning? It must just be the house fuelling my anger.
I put Olivia on the sofa and gave her a clean change of clothes. While she was getting changed, I went to make the bed. I know no-one is going to discover this place but just incase the survey corps ever did stumble upon it by accident, I wouldn't want them to know that I was here. In fact I don't want anyone to know I was here, more than just the scouts are looking for me.
"I'm done."
Olivia announced walking next to me and grabbing my hand.
"We can leave now." She said giving me a cheeky grin.
"Oh we can, can we miss bossy."
"YEPPP, lets go, go, go."
She giggled dragging me down the stairs, I smiled and grabbed my bag as Olivia skipped out the house. Now I'll have to get us breakfast.
