Chapter 18, The fight.

Y/N POV

"Mmmm?" Olivia mumbled waking up. I had already woken up, I didn't want to wake her as I knew she needed her sleep for meeting many other children today, and staying up all night for 'intruders.'

"Good morning." I said, kissing her cheek and setting out my uniform.

"Morning." She replied getting into a sitting position and rubbing her eyes.
"Why are you up so early anyways auntie?"

"I'm meditating."

"Oh, why today, was you angry?"

"No, I have a fight today and I'm relaxing my muscles."

"Oh you used to do that a lot I remember." She said smiling sweetly.

"Yeah I did."

"Does that mean you used to get into fights all the time?"

"Are you hungry." I asked changing the subject, she'll understand one day.

"Yeah, I'll get changed." She said as I tossed her, some clothes. I then tied my shoelace and looked out the small window. The trees were swaying to the rhythm of the breeze. The sun was shinning down on the training field, it looked like a nice day.

"All done." She said hugging my leg. I smiled and kissed her forehead. She's grown so much since I took her in, I'm proud of her, and now she'll have to defend herself like I did, although I didn't have someone like me to back me up. I ruffled her hair and took her hand.

"C'mon let's go."

We walked to the canteen to grab some food and I waved to Hanji, letting her know I was off to take Olivia to town. She nodded back waving.

"Welcome!" A tall lady beamed at Olivia as we knocked on the schools gate. "Is this little Olivia, how beautiful you are!"

Olivia blushed in response and nodded suddenly loosing a little confidence as she hide behind my legs.

"Ah sorry, shes a little nervous for today." I explained smiling, as she lead us in.

"That's understandable, buts she's be wonderful here, I'll show you around."

After a quick tour of the little school Olivia had already made some new friends and was playing with two little boys already.

"Well that's everything unless you have any requests for Olivia?" Mrs Lily said, smiling as we walked towards the exit.

"I think that's everything!, just make sure she finishes all her dinners." I said watching as Olivia ran down the hallway and jumped into my arms. Her eyes started to water as she knew I was going to leave.

"Cmon Olivia, we have already had tears on the way here, I'm very close to you and I'll visit often, you can write me letters and you've already made some friends!" I responded hugging her tightly, I didn't really want her to go, but it's the best thing for her.

"okay." She responded jumping down. "See you later then Auntie."

"See ya Princess."

I was slowly running laps around the field.

"17." Hanji shouted as I passed the starting line. I then saw the doors open. Mikasa then walked out and waved. I saw Eren and Armin walking behind her. Followed by the rest of the 104th Squad, i could close my eyes and hear the approaching from about a mile away.

"Hello Y/N." Mikasa said.

"Hello." I replied.

She just nodded and got in a fighting stance, I followed suit. I had a strange feeling someone was watching me and looked up. My eyes travelled to Levi's office window and I saw him standing there looking at me, he smirked and pointed I tilted my head following his finger just in time to see Mikasa throwing the first punch. I dodged and grabbed her arm flipping her over my shoulder onto the floor.

She immediately bounced back up like a cat. She had a little graze on her forehead. I smiled and clicked my knuckles.

"Got a small scratch?" I said innocently pointing to it on my forehead, i looked at Eren and winked. She growled and went for me. I let her punch my cheek, because she was angry she lost her balance and I tripped her up.

She jumped up again and stretched her arm. Now it's my turn. I scissor kicked the air and she backflipped backwards.

I then swung a left jab right into her jaw which knocked her back a bit. We had now moved off the training ground, and to the field. The crowd following our every move.

Mikasa was now lying on the floor, her jaw had a purple bruise on it, and my cheek was throbbing. She smiled and ran at me, I got into a defensive stance and held my ground. No way I was flinching.

Just as she got near me she front flipped right over me, turned around and pushing me, I deliberately directed my fall onto Eren. Which irritated Mikasa as she started to get angry.

I ran forwards a little going near a tree. She grabbed me and shoved me into it.

"Ugh." I groaned and turned around dodging her punch and her knuckle went right into the tree.

"AH!" She screamed in pain, holding her hand. I smiled and ran around the other side of the tree.

I started to climb up, watching her the whole time. She was clutching her hand in a defensive stance, looking around. I edged right out on a branch which was directly over her.

"Up here!" I said jumping off and falling on her.

"Oof." We both grunted landing on the floor. I grabbed both her wrists and held them to the floor. My legs straddling her waist. Wolf whistles were made from the crowd but I wasn't bothered. She kept struggling. I head butted her on her graze, which I can now see is worse than I thought. She kneed my stomach and I lost my grip, allowing her to push me to the ground.

She smiled and then her face went emotionless and she pushed my wrists harder into the ground and growled.

I wasn't letting her win this. I curled my legs around her waist and squeezed as hard as I could. She screamed as I had previously fallen on her, I must've hurt her pelvis. I then pushed backwards bringing her with me and smacked her head into the tree truck.

She fell off me and I jumped up, placing my foot on her spine. The fight was over.

"She beat Mikasa!?"
"How?"
"Mikasa has never been beat before."

I got off Mikasa and helped her up. She smiled and gave me a hug, as we pulled apart I asked
"What was that for?"

"For making me feel human again, it's nice getting beaten once in a while it makes me feel alive again." She said ending with a closed eye smile. It seemed a little sad, I enjoy fighting but not getting beat, maybe she's a little lightheaded. I slung her arm over my shoulders and helped her over to Eren and Armin.

Armin checked her head and nodded.

"It will heal just fine Mika, just don't let it get infected, go to the nurse she'll have something for it." He said, she nodded and started to limp off.

"Need help Solider." Asked Sasha jokingly, Mikasa shook her head and carried on walking. She stopped and turned back to Sasha nodding
"Please."

"Sure!" Sasha screamed sprinting over and supporting her. Connie followed winking at me running off.

"Wow Y/N that was amazing." Armin praised me.

"It was better than amazing!!!" Eren screamed running over and practically jumping on me.

"Gah." I screamed falling. I landed on my butt and crossed my arms giving Eren a death glare.

"Sorry Y/N I-I didn't mean to." Eren pleaded offering a hand,
I pouted and looked away.

"Cadet L/N, please follow me." I heard from behind me I shivered as I knew that voice could only belong to one person.
