Chapter 29, Memories

Levi POV

After Y/N left, all hell broke loose, I can't believe the Titan bested us, stupid bitch.

There was nothing we could have done, we were majorly out numbered, we did what we could. Even though the titans dead, doesn't mean the shifter inside is.

I thought flying along towards where my squad should be.

And then I heard a scream, and saw a flash of lightning, just like when Eren transforms, it can't be Eren?
Its got to be the female Titan.

"Fuck." I mumbled, picking up speed worrying about my squad and y/n. My mind drifting to things that could've happened, none of them positive. I shook my head as if to rid it of the negative thoughts, my squad are perfectly capable of looking after themselves, and y/n, well, I just know she's fine. I smiled at the thought and carried on moving.

Then I saw a tree in the distance, it looked like blood was splattered down it. I saw a cord from the 3dmg attached to the tree, confused I looked down, to see my squad member, on the floor, eyes closed, dead, it was Gunther. The emblem of the scouts had been ripped of his jacket, someone else had been here?

I shot a yellow flare into the air, signifying a dead body was here and carried on moving, holding my hand to my chest in a salute, I'm sure the others will tell me he died bravely.

(I made up the yellow flare bit up lol)

I followed my way through the trees and could see little indentations of the 3dmg in them, figuring the others are near by I picked up my speed.

And that's when I saw Eld, also lying on the floor, but half of his body was missing, blood splattered all over and around him, his eyes were also closed, and scout emblem ripped of, I once again saluted sending a yellow flare to the sky and moving on. My emotions were flying all over the place, but I concealed it, under my many walls, which I have developed over the years.

Then my heart stopped as my eyes landed on Petra, and Oluo, laying side by side they were like a bickering couple most of the time, but they shared many happy moments together, I remember Oluo told me her was going to ask Petra out after this expedition.

They were both so young, they deserved better than to die like this, they all did. I raised my hand slowly into the sky, looking down closing my eyes shot another yellow flare and saluted, I looked down again seeing there emblems ripped off.

I silently said a pray, hoping y/n was alive. Picturing her lying on the floor dead was too much for me to bear. A tear slipped down my face as I thought of it.

"No, not y/n." I whispered to myself, almost willing it to be true, as if I said it out loud, it would be true. My hands tightly gripped the handles of my swords as I flew away from my dead squad, there lifeless bodies laying on the ground, this squad had been with me for so long. I considered them friends.

And now, now they were not going to accompany me on expeditions anymore, no more arguing between Petra and Oluo, with Gunther and Eld trying to split up the argument, only getting themselves also involved.

I remember, once Oluo said the only way he would forgive Petra was if she kissed him. Petra being Petra said 'no'. But then was accused of not wanting to because she liked Oluo by Eld. So trying to prove them wrong she went to kiss him on the cheek and he moved his head so she kissed him on the lips, she pulled away, flushed red and punched him right in the eye.

He had a black eye for weeks. And she had a broken hand. I smiled sadly as I recalled more memories travelling, like when I was going to get my horse and heard Gunther and Eld.

"One more time." I heard Eld say confidently.

"Okay!" Gunther replied. I walked around to see them practicing a hand shake they had been making for a while. They completed it with a triumphant high five. I cleared my face and they looked to me embarrassed.

Eld scratched the back of his neck and said "How many times have you caught us now Captain?"

"Too many." I mumbled laughing and walked away.

I looked up just in time to see the female Titan, and Eren fighting. The enemy brought her leg up and-

Y/N POV

And, swung her leg across his face, I heard his skin rip as the top half of his head was ripped off and landed on the floor.

"NO!" I screamed as she bit into his nape, ripping the flesh revealing Eren, looking dazed and tired. She brought her mouth towards the boy and snapped her jaw down over him, got up and started running.

I followed screaming, and sliced up her body all over, then I saw someone else doing the same, Mikasa.

She saw me and nodded. She went for the nape but i screamed at her to stop, as I knew her powers, and no ones blades could slice her hardened skin.

She ignored me and shattered her blades, she landed on a tree. The Titan went to smash her into the tree, but I whizzed towards her and pushed Mikasa out of the way.

The Titan just caught my arm, and whacked it, I heard a snap, and screamed in pain. Clutching my arm I gritted my teeth.

"Fucking bitch, oh, I'm fucking mad now." I screeched at the top of my lungs, a inhuman roar erupted from my throat as I screamed in anguish. And then-
