The sun wasn't shinning anymore and the guys were in the field practicing for the game that was coming soon.
The only light was coming from the floodlights, creating shadows of their bodies.
Tyler slipped his hands into the baseball mitt and walked onto the diamond.
"I'm going to kick your ass!" He said teasing Cameron.
"Oh don't joke Ty, everyone knows how's the captain here." Cameron replied with a cocky smirk.
Well, he wasn't lying. Everyone knew he was the best player from the team.
"If I wasn't with the mitt right now, I would show you my middle finger."
"Wow, the powerful middle finger. I'm scared bro." Cameron said laughing.
Tyler took a stance in the pinchers place and Cameron threw the baseball in his direction. Tyler caught it without any problem and smiled at Cameron.
"What's wrong captain ?" Tyler teased once again.
"Okay let's play." Cameron picked up his bat from the floor and took a few steps to the back. "Tom, throw me a ball."
Tom did what Cameron said and he hit it perfectly with the bat. Tyler tried to catch it but totally failed, almost ending on the floor.
"You're a fucking cocky bastard!" Tyler said and all the guys laughed.
"Watch your mouth Ty Ty!" Cameron teased this time. "Tom, throw me another ball."
"You already used all the balls." Tom said.
"I'm not going to get any ball, don't even look at me." Tyler said looking at Cameron. "You threw them, now you have pick them up."
"But it was your fault that you didn't catch them." Cameron said but Tyler sat down on the floor, protesting. "Fine."
Cameron threw his bat to the floor and started running next to the bleachers.
The floodlight was illuminating a small figure and Cameron slowed down, trying to see who it was.
"What are you doing here?" He asked taking off his helmet and then adjusted his hair.
"I came here to see you." She said smiling.
"Why?" He asked confused.
"I missed you Cameron..." She said getting up and then walked closer to him.
"I didn't miss you Kelsey, I'm sorry."
"Who is she ?" She asked crossing her arms against her chest.
"What?"
"If you don't miss me, it's because you have someone else."
"Oh please Kelsey, I don't have anyone. I simply don't miss us."
"How is it possible? I thought you only needed a break."
"Kelsey accept it. I feel good like this."
