The sun started invading the room, making Cameron lightly open his eyes. He turned around on the bed and started observing the space.
He knew that place but he also knew it wasn't his place.
He took the phone out of his jeans' pocket and looked at the screen.
7 missed calls. Kelsey.
He heard a door opening and saw Tyler walking in, with a bottle of water in his hands.
"You're finally awake." Tyler said walking next to Cameron. "Take this, it will help."
Cameron sat up and quickly brought his hand to his head because of the strong pain.
"I'm sorry for falling asleep here." Cameron said with a raspy voice before taking the pill that Tyler gave him.
"I wouldn't let you go anywhere. Your parents would kill you if they saw you like that. You're crazy Cam, you could have died."
"It wasn't that deep."
"Bro, you almost passed out...totally...if it wasn't Rose..."
"Who?" Cameron interrupted confused.
"Hm...Rose, I think you know her."
"Wait, do you mean Roselyn...from high school ?"
"Yeah but everyone calls her Rose. You know who she is right?"
"Yeah, yes I do..." Cameron replied resting his back against the headboard.
"She's cool. I used to live next to her but then my family moved."
"Oh I remember, I went to your old house a few times to play video games." Cameron said smiling because of the memories.
"I remember it too, I won every single time."
"Bullshit! I used to beat your ass!"
"You're lying bro!"
"No, I'm not."
"Little Cameron is still drunk."
"Shut up." Cameron said grabbing a pillow and threw it at Tyler's head. "Checkmate!"
Cameron's phone started ringing and Tyler gave him a look.
"Aren't you going to pick up?"
"No...it's Kelsey." Cameron replied, shaking his head lightly.
"Did something happen ?"
"Yeah...and I'm afraid because I don't know if she will continue being my girlfriend to be honest."
"Why?"
"I'm getting tired, I need someone to be next to me and not someone that always comes with excuses..."
"Take a break. Then both of you will decide if you want to continue or not."
"It's hard..."
"Cameron...now seriously, do you really like her ?" Tyler asked, letting Cameron think for a while.
"If I like her...yes. If I love...I don't know, probably not yet."
"And do you think that you'll ever love her ?"
"I don't know...I don't know. I always say I love you too but I think I only say it randomly. It's confusing."
"I understand...I mean, I don't understand because I don't have a lot of experience with relationships, if you know what I mean..."
"You're a loser..." Cameron replied and then placed his hand over his head again. "I swear, it feels like I hit my head against the wall repeatedly."
