Monday morning.
The leafs in shades of orange and brown raised from the road when his car arrived to her driveway.
He honked two times and rested his elbow against the window, waiting for her.
He noticed her mom looking through the window of the house but quickly closed the curtain again.
The main door opened and she walked out."I thought you wouldn't come." Kelsey said getting into Cameron's car.
"Why? I always pick you up when I'm with the car." He said and then started driving in direction of the high school.
"I thought that you had forgotten about me on Saturday." Kelsey said looking at him.
"What do you mean ?"
"I heard her voice Cameron. You were with a girl when I called you Saturday night."
"No, I wasn't! The phone fell when I picked up and the radio was playing."
"Then why did you hang up the call so fast ?"
"Because I was driving..."
"Sure..." She replied rolling her eyes.
"Kelsey don't even start..."
"I'm not starting anything! It's your fault. Do you think that it is easy? It's not easy to see these girls all over you."
"How's that my fault ?" Cameron asked as his tone of voice raised.
"Don't talk to them!"
"Excuse me? I'm not doing anything wrong. When I talk with other girls it's just about random stuff and not with second intentions."
"Of course... guys never talk with second intentions..."
"What are you seriously trying to say ?"
"Nothing..." She replied and then took a deep breath. "Cameron, I kept thinking about us this weekend and you said I don't have time for us and maybe you're right but you also don't have time for me because of Baseball."
"But every time I have a break, I try to spend it with you."
"But when you have a break, I need to study. We just don't match...my parents also said..."
"Your parents...stop thinking only about what your parents say Kelsey. You need to start being more independent..."
"You don't understand...they're strict with me and you know that they didn't even want us to date."
"I know that, they only let you date with me because of my family."
"Don't say that..."
"It's true Kelsey! They only care about my family's money, if I was poor they would never let us be together."
"Don't say that Cameron! Don't talk about my parents like that. You know what...you're just not right for me!"
He stayed in silence. They finally arrived to the parking lot and Cameron stopped the car.
"If I'm not right for you...you're also not right for me." He said looking at her.
A tear rolled down her cheek while she looked at him.
"If that's what you want..."
