"Maybe I've underestimated you," Shu says as you and Valt walked alongside him back to your respective houses.

"Hmm?" You hummed, looking over to the snow-white-haired boy, walking beside his bike. "What do you mean?" Valt was munching on his newly bought meat bun (courtesy of Shu), cheeks full, so he didn't pay much attention to what Shu was saying.

"I mean. . .well, I was a little too nervous to have you around, admittedly," he confessed, keeping his eyes ahead. It was like he was too afraid to meet you in the eye. Understandable, you literally weren't human so he'd be nervous. "I treasure Valt as a friend greatly, so, seeing you was surprising, to say the least." He paused and leaned toward you to speak in a hushed whisper, "Valt's not the brightest crayon in the box," he pulled away, "so I was wary of you."

"Oh. . ."

Shu looked away apologetically, "I'm sorry if I made you feel alienated."

"Huh?" You blinked confusingly. "Oh! No, no, no! It's okay! I understand," you reassured him. "It's understandable. I would've been freaked out if some magical being suddenly appeared outta nowhere to the person who you look at as a best friend." You crossed your arms, "Now imagine if I had horns," you snicker, "now THAT'D be something."

Shu was a little surprised at your enthusiastic tone. However, if you truly do resemble Valt due to being his Bey, then he should've seen this coming. Of course, you'd have an easy-going attitude. The mere thought of having two Valt's running around already makes his back hurt but he couldn't stop the soft chuckles escaping his throat.

"Hahaha," he chuckles, hand brought up to cover his smile. His tangled yet silky-smooth-looking white hair bounced slightly. "Right."

"But man, I still can't believe I'm talking to Spriggan's owner!" You cheer, gushing at the (literal) celebrity in front of you. "He's mentioned how hard-working you are, and I can definitely see that!"

Shu's mouth was slightly agape, "What?"

"'Shpriggan's Ouwner'?" Valt repeats, finally tuning in the conversation. He swallowed the meat bun entirely to speak thoroughly. "What're you talking about, [First name]? It's just Shu we're talking to."

"Tsk, tsk, tsk," you waved your index finger. "I don't think so. Believe it or not, we Beys actually are sentient." Oh man, their faces are hilarious. "Don't get me wrong, they don't feel pain if you accidentally drop us or something but we do feel the same passionate feelings you humans do." You grinned happily, "Spriggan's so cool and relaxing to hang out with. I can see who he gets it from!"

"Then what's your case?" Shu asked, "How are you human then?"

"I got, like, half of Valt's soul."

"Excuse me?" Shu's face had shock written all over it.

"WHAT?!" Valt shouts, hands pulling at his blue hair. The wrapper from the meat bun was long forgotten (but safely kept in his pocket). "[First name], you never told me about this!" His walking became jagged and clumsy as he tripped over his own two feet dramatically. "My own bey betrayed me!"
