"Did you hurt your shoulder?"

Shu flinched, unexpecting the sound of his childhood friend behind him. It was accompanied by the soft clink of his own Beyblade falling down upon it stopped spinning proudly. He turns around and behind him, stood both you and Valt. Valt appears rather frustrated yet concerned, and you look sorrowful and worried.

"What are you two doing here?" Shu finally spoke after a few seconds of tense silence. He made no move to budge out of his standing position, head lowered down since he turned to stare at his Beyblade.

"Is it true, then?" You asked, hands curling up within each other in concern. A moment of silence quickly covered the three of you like a suffocating blanket. Valt bit his lip while you pursed yours. "Shu. . .why aren't you answering?"

Seems like Shu ignored the question since he crouched down and picked up his Beyblade with his left hand. "Did you two come to practice, too?" He asks. "I'm just about to wrap it up."

"It's true, isn't it?" Valt interrogates. He watches as his childhood friend stands up and began to make his way past him. However, Valt was quick to put his foot down in front of him to prevent him from moving.

"Watch it," Shu warned half-heartedly, attempting to glare down at the boy but ultimately couldn't as he looked away. His red eyes landed on your disappointed figure.

Your eyes remained nervous as you stared him down, "You're going to be okay, right?" Despite your brief time together, Shu couldn't help but bite down his lip and avoided both of your worried looks altogether. The gross feeling of letting you both down nestles itself home within his stomach. It felt like heavy weights. His chest felt tighter but hardened it to prevent himself from giving in.

Valt huffed and then crossed his arms. "Nika told us what happened here," Valt says, watching as Shu merely walked around him to attempt to leave. Valt sharply turns around and couldn't stop himself from continuing the conversation to get even a sentence of Shu admitting to it. "And you're seeing a doctor, too!"

You see Shu instantly stop in his footsteps and hastily turn around, "This doesn't concern the both of you."

"B. . .But. . ." you trail before hardening your eyes to suck in a deep breath. "You're injured! We can't just ignore that. Nika told us everything about how she accidentally—"

"[First name], it isn't her fault. Got it? Now go—"

"[First name]'s got a point," Valt defends you as Shu lowly hummed in frustration. Red eyes immediately snapped toward him. "She's right about worrying because I am too! You are injured, let us help you!"

Shu crossed his arms, eyes now going back to ignoring the two of you. His entire body stiffened while you noticed his hand caressing his right arm. Shu pursed his lips and shook his head with a firm: "No."

"You humans are fragile," you say in a much louder voice than your timid one. Both of their heads turn toward you with Shu's eyes widening as if you'd just insulted him. Though you think at this point, you just did. "I know I haven't known you as long as Valt did. . .but I know Valt would be much happier if he knew that you'll be getting the rest you need if you don't train as much!" You pointed at him with furrowed eyebrows. "I won't hesitate to pick you up and throw you over my shoulder to take you to your house!" Shu's eyes widened further (if possible) and the lightest tint of pink dusted the tips of his ears from the bold statement. You then moved your finger toward Valt, "And he'll tell me where you live so that can happen!"
