"Okay! Boys and girls! I'll introduce the Bladers once again!" Hinami's usual cheerful voice rang. "The IQ Blader who researches Beyblades, Minamo Naoki! His Bey is Nova Neptune. Will the god of the sea wash his opponent away and clinch victory?"
"What a silly question." Naoki displayed a small smirk. "If you look at the data, it's clear that I'll win." Wow, [Name] could even feel the huge boost Naoki's ego got from that small compliment.
"And one of the runner-ups from the Team Tournament, it's with new feelings that they're standing in the BeyArena. It's the miraculous wonder duo, Aoi Valt and [Last name] [First name]! I'm looking forward to a heated battle!"
Valt turned to his partner as they both shared a nod. "It's our first match at the Nationals. Let's win this one, [First name]!"
"We have a lot to make up on, Valt." [Name] confidently says, staring back into his eyes that basically screamed out determination.
"First battle!"
Both bladers (and Beyblade) walk forward. "I made sure to eat a lot of bread today." Valt informed the scientist.
"That isn't a joke, I watched him do it." [Name] says with an amused expression. Before a cloud of smoke clouded where [Name] once stood. A swift swing of his hand, Valt caught the Beyblade and twisted her into his launcher.
"This battle won't turn out the way it did before, Naoki." Valt declared, a tint of amusement laced his words.
"Science advances day by day, through data collection and analysis," Naoki says, his glasses shining as the spotlight glared down at him. [Name] squinted her eyes to see that Naoki switched something on his own Bey. She quickly identified it as the mode, but is it attack, or defense?
Twisting his own Bey in his launcher, Naoki tapped something on his glasses. Thus, in his peripheral vision, sees a red dot on the corner right to show that he's truly recording. Catching every movement as Valt couched down to his launching position.
"Ready, set!"
"Three!"
"Two!"
"One!"
"Go, Shoot!"
"Go, [First name]! Rush Shoot!"
As she quickly did so, [Name] slithers around the stadium gracefully. With every turn, every movement, she kept a mental note about Nova's own actions.
"Just like the data said," Naoki mumbled under his breath.
Finding herself at the peak of the stadium, she rushes down, sword in hand, to strike Nova. However, putting two and two together, [Name] realized that this was its defense mode. Which gives her a disadvantage in types. Pushing that thought aside, she took a swing for it, but [Name] misses it by a longshot.
