Peridot, a pretty typical girl from a typical neighborhood. She didn't consider herself anything special. She came from a broken home, Her mother's name was something she didn't know. She just refered to her as "mom" or " Yellow." She never got to know her dad well but she didn't mind. She didn't know who she was and was trying to figure that out.
"Hi, mom..." Peridot said carelessly knowing her mother wouldn't respond. She walked to her room but before she could step in she knew something was wrong. Her mom was in there. Her mom never stepped foot near her room.
"Hi first born!"
"I'm the only kid you have."
"Okay okay whatever. There is something I need to tell you, Peridot."
"What is it this time?" She said nearly tearing up as she knew what was going to be said.
"You do nothing but stay in this room. Do you have friends? Well it wont matter to me after you move out!" She grinned as if she had been waiting so long to say that to her only daughter. She hadn't been in her right mind in the past couple months.
"What? Are you kidding me? I'm only 18! I can't even drive! Where am I going to go." She knew this was happening but she all of a sudden felt a rush of different emotions. She wasn't one to express her emotions either.
"You are no benefit to me. I don't need you any longer. Plus I've found somebody else who will occupy my time with something useful."
"Mom..." Peridot started to cry more than she ever had before. She didn't know what to feel or how to handle what was happening.
"Pack up! You have the rest of this week. To pick and choose whats worth the most to you."
"Okay" She watched her mother, somebody she's know all her life, somebody who she looked up to, somebody who just betrayed her walk away as if everything they had together was worth nothing to her!
