I'm Sorry

Lapis walked into her house closed the door behind her and put her back on it.

"I'm really sorry, Peridot. You literally just got here and that happened." Lapis had tears in her eyes. 

"Oh um. It's-" She didn't know what to say. "Okay." She let out a sigh.

"No it's not. Let's just go and get your room and fix it up."

Peridot couldn't help but feel bad for her. She didn't know what the feel but that. 

-time skip-

"Okay, Lapis. This will be good for now. I can do the rest tomorrow." Peridot was a little more confused with her emotions.

"Alright then. If you need any help let me know. Help yourself to food in the kitchen." Lapis obviously looked upset. She walked out the room with holding her other arm looking down. Almost as if she was ashamed. 

-time skip-

"Hey, did you want anything to eat? I'm making a tartiflette." Lapis said.

"Uh yeah, sure. Thanks."

Lapis was humming the lyrics to her favorite song. She was in her zone. 

"So um..., Lapis..."

"Yeah?" Her short response was quick.

"If you don't mind answering... What happened outside today. And you were going to explain the hole in the wall.."

Lapis stopped cutting the potatoes. "Oh. Yeah. I don't really know what happened outside. The hole in the wall is a different story."

"Oh..." 

"Yeah um. SO. Jasper was my roommate before you.  She was also my girlfriend. And I hate admitting this but the relationship was toxic. She degraded me and hurt me. I can't think of her anymore without breaking down in tears." Lapis was tearing up already. "I wish I was still with her but then again she only hurt me." 

Peridot stood up from her chair and walked over to Lapis. She learn over and patted Lapis' far shoulder. She sympathized her.

Lapis let out a loud sigh. "Okay, I better finish this before it's too late."

"Okay then." Peridot didn't know what to do next. She sat back down and got on her phone. Lapis continued to hum and cut potatoes.

-time skip-

"All done." said Lapis proudly.  "It's kinda late but I got it done and I'm not letting it go to waste!"

"Yeah! It looks great!" Peridot grinned and had sparkling eyes.

"Thanks."

"Oh what?"

"Thanks for listening."

"Oh um.. No problem, Lapis." 

The both finished their dinners and went to bed.
