I woke up in the morning to an empty bed. I thought back to the previous night and wondered where Charlie had disappeared to.

I rolled over to the side where Charlie slept last night to reach for my phone.

As I picked it up, I noticed a sticky note attached to it, which read:

'If you wake up and I'm not there, Im downstairs making breakfast...
- CJ x'

I found myself smiling uncontrollably at the small gesture before putting down the piece of paper and checking my phone for any messages.

I noticed that I had a missed call from my mum alongside a few texts informing me that she stayed over at Julie and Rik's house to avoid being a nuisance to any of us, which I replied with a polite 'Ok x' before making my way downstairs where Charlie said he would be.

To no surprise, Charlie was stood in the kitchen, still wearing his pyjamas whilst buttering some bread.

A thick smell of bacon drifted through the air as I made my way to the archway which lead from the living room into the kitchen.

Charlie looked up from his spot to see me smiling at him.

"Good morning, sleepy" he said, giggling before returning to buttering the bread.

"Morning" I replied, making my way over to him.

I stood next to him and helped him butter the remaining bread whilst he moved over slightly to the oven where he was cooking bacon.

He smiled down at me before saying, "Did you have a nice sleep?"

"It was great, thanks. How about you?" I asked, politely.

"I had a great sleep. It was nice having someone cling onto me the whole night..." he said sarcastically and letting out a small laugh.

"Oh god, I didn't! Did I?" I asked in horror. I'm so embarrassing.

"You did, but don't worry! It was cute!" He told me casually as he placed the now cooked bacon into the slices of bread in front of me.

I couldn't help but blush at the fact he had called me cute and shied away, hoping he wouldn't see.

"Why do you always look away when you blush?" Charlie asked, curiosity clear in his voice.

"Because it's embarrassing..." I replied.

"Why do you think it's embarrassing? I think it's adorable..." He told me.

"Oh my god! Give it a break, Charlie! You're going to make me blush even more!" I exclaimed, laughing and looking away even more as I could feel my cheeks forming a nice red tint.

I soon felt Charlie's hands slither round my waist from behind me as he leant his chin on my shoulder, placing a gentle peck on my cheek.

I felt a light tingling in my cheek where his lips once were and I just wished they were still there.

But instead, we took each of our bacon rolls and made our way to the table where we then sat eating our breakfast.

After getting ready, we spent most of the day in the house and looking after my brother until my mum finally arrived home at around 2:30.
