I Found a Place In My Dreams (Charlie Jones/Over Atlantic)

After a few more hours of causally walking around the town and a bit of shopping, we made our way back to the band house where the rest of the boys were already waiting.

"We're home!" Charlie shouts through the house as we entered through the front door.

We were briefly welcomed home as the boys continuously shot smirks in Charlie's direction. As I glanced over to him, I admired the way his cheeks turned a faint pinkish colour, trying to avoid all eye contact with me.

"Tay, are you staying over tonight?" Sean asked me sweetly.

"I'd love to but since it's Ryan's birthday tomorrow, I'd rather be there when he wakes up so he can have his presents" I told him.

Everyone nodded, understanding my reason.

"I guess I better get going then, it's getting quite late..." I informed them all, smiling awkwardly.

"Okay, bye Taya!" they l spoke in unison, each coming for ward to hug me and rushing out of the hallway and into the living room, leaving just Charlie and I.

"So..." I trailed off, looking up at Charlie as he scratched the back of his neck.

"So..." he mimicked me.

"I had a grea-" but before I could finish my sentence, I felt Charlie's lips on mine. It was a short kiss but it was just right.

As we both pulled away, both of our attentions were averted to the giggles and chants coming from the direction of the living room.
I began to laugh as I noticed the rest of the boys scurrying away from the door as they realised we had noticed they were watching, whilst Charlie shot them all death glares.

"I guess I should get going then..." I told Charlie, smiling up at him.

He walked me to the door with his hand placed gently in my back.

As I opened the front door and stepped outside, I noticed that Charlie had followed. I furrowed my eyebrows at him before asking why he had come outside as well.

"I don't want you going home alone this late. I'll come with you and then come back here" He told me as we began to walk down the driveway.

"Charlie, I can go home by myself, it's okay. Stay here, it's just inconvenient for you" I told him, all of a sudden feeling guilty that he'd have to come all the way to my house and then back again.

"Taya, I want to come with you..." He told me, taking my hand and lacing his fingers with mine.

I felt the butterflies return in my stomach as I felt his hand on mine.

This boy drives me crazy.

On the way home we spoke about anything and everything until after a few train rides and a little walk, we finally reached my house.

"Thank you for today, I had a great time..." I awkwardly said to Charlie as we both stood facing each other in front of my front door.

"I had a great time too" he smiled back, leaving a silence between us.

I felt my heart begin to race as I noticed him slowly leaning in to kiss me again.

I mimicked his actions before my front door swung open, causing me and Charlie shoot backwards as if nothing had happened.

As I look round to my now open front door, I noticed Ryan and my mum stood in the doorway as a smug smile spread across my mums face causing my cheeks to go bright red, and judging by the light pink tint to Charlie's cheeks I could tell he was embarrassed too.

"Have you had a nice evening?" my mum asked us sweetly.

"Lovely, thank you. And you?" Charlie asked her sweetly yet awkwardly.

"Delightful" she laughs before walking away, leaving us two with Ryan.

"Taya loves Charlie!" Ryan began to chant, soon following our mum until he was out of sight.

I felt my cheeks go a dark shade of red as I looked down at my feet, trying to hide the embarrassment that was evident on my face. However, this was unlike Charlie who clearly found the situation hilarious as he struggled to hold in his laugh.

"So, you love me?" he asked, laughing once again.

Instead of responding I shot him a glare, causing him to laugh even harder.

"Good night, Charlie" I said gently as I hugged him tightly.

"Good night, Taya" he replied, pulling me into his chest.

...and with that I stepped inside my house giving him one last wave with a sweet smile on my face before quietly shutting the door.

I think I've fallen for Charlie Jones.
