Luckily for the boys, they were booked into the studio the next day meaning we could crack down on the cover.
The next morning I woke up to the smell of sizzling bacon coming from downstairs. I rolled over in our bed to find Trevor laying next to me, already awake and on his phone.
"Morning sleepy head" Trevor gently spoke before letting out a small laugh at my current facial expression. It was a mix of 'why am I awake at this time?' and 'I want to punch you in the face' which in all honesty was my facial expression most of the time.
I grabbed my phone from the bedside table next to me to see that the time was currently 08:03.
"What time are you booked in today?" I asked Trevor, sleepily.
"At 10:30 so we should probably start getting ready to go soon..." Trevor replied, putting his phone down and getting out of bed, making a small breeze come towards me as the duvet fell down on the bed once again. I rolled my eyes before copying Trevor's actions and getting out of bed also before throwing on some fluffy socks and making our way downstairs.
I was greeted by the sight of Charlie cooking bacon in just his sweatpants alongside the rest of the boys running around frantically trying to clean the house as well as get ready for the studio session.
I laughed at the sight before my eyes fell back into Charlie who was currently facing away from me whilst cooking the bacon.
Everyone scurried out of the kitchen, doing their chores and continuing to get ready, leaving just me and Charlie in the room. Someone must have planned this...
I was quickly drawn from my trance when Charlie turned around slowly and made eye contact with mine, which were already glued to him.
"You shouldn't stare at people, y'know" Charlie laughed before reverting his attention back to the bacon.
I instantly felt my cheeks turn a deep shade of red as my eyes widened to the point where they could've popped out.
"Uh..um, Sorry" I spoke quickly, taking a seat at the dining table. I played with my thumbs and kept my attention on them, trying to resist myself from peering at Charlie.
"I was kidding, don't worry" he laughed, causing me to look at him a let out a sigh of relief. Once I had looked up, I noticed that Charlie had turned around in his position and was currently facing me from the other side of the kitchen.
Why does this boy do this to me?
"Do you want a bacon sandwich? I'm making the rest of the boys one too" he asked, sweetly.
"Erm, yes please. If that's okay" I spoke, politely.
"Yeah, of course!"
Once he had called the rest of the boys to come and get their bacon sandwiches whom then each made their way into the front room, Charlie made his way towards the table where I was currently sat with two plates in his hand.
He sat himself down opposite me and pushed my plate towards me for me to take and so I thanked him for it.
When I looked down at the plate, I noticed that he had cut off the crusts from my sandwich causing me to shyly smile to myself.
"What are you smiling at?" Charlie asked curiously with a giant smile on his face, causing the crinkles to return next to his eyes.
"You cut off the crusts for me...I didn't know you knew that I didn't like the crusts" I informed him, smiling uncontrollably at the tiny gesture.
"Of course I know you don't like the crusts. I'm offended that you don't think I know you that well..." Charlie spoke up, acting like he was sulking before letting out a goofy laugh.
I felt the butterflies return in my stomach and I couldn't help but smile at the events which just happened. I didn't know Charlie knew me that well, and to think that he had the effort to actually get to know that about me makes me unbelievably happy. People don't usually bother to get to know me, let alone the tiny little things that I like and don't like. It was crazy to think someone actually cared, and never would I have thought it would be Charlie.
Charlie's POV
When she noticed that I had cut off the crusts from the bread, an innocently cute smile spread across her face. It was adorable.
All I wanted to do was show her how much she meant to me, that even the smallest little details about her, I bothered to remember. I wanted to get to know her. I wanted her to be the one to tell me. I wanted to sit up late at night just like the first time we met and talk to each other about the most random things until the sunrise. I wanted her to feel comfortable enough around me that she could tell me the small things and the embarrassing things. I wanted her to know how much I love her.
Every time she looked at me I could see something different in her eyes. I know she wants the same but she's just holding back.
She's always seemed like the girl who doesn't want people to know much about her in case people can manipulate what they know and use it against her. She has some sort of shield surrounding her, stopping anyone from getting closer. I want her to put down her shield when she's around me. She deserves so much more than to feel like she needs to hide herself.
It crossed my mind that it was her little brother's birthday next week and so we began to talk about that. She always mentioned that he wanted a bass guitar to be like Trevor. He was so sweet.
Trevor played such a big role in all of their lives. I don't know what he knows that I don't, but I know enough to understand that he is very important to Taya and Ryan and even their mum.
I just wish she'd let me help as well.
