It's already been two hours. I'm now waiting for Hillary to come back up stairs from getting us our drinks. When she enters the room she gives me my Coke and takes a sip of her Pepsi.
"How does it feel to officially be Lucas's girl?"Hillary asks as she flops down on the other side of her bed.
"It feels the same but different. If that makes any sense." I say, then take another sip of my Coke.
"You guys are just so cute! I mean me, you,Daniel, and Lucas can all go on double dates and we could probably go...."
My phone chimes in the middle of Hillary's rambling, not letting her finish. I pull out my phone from my back pocket to see a text from Lucas about meeting at our special place.
"Hold that thought. I have to go." I say to Hillary while quickly gathering my things.
"Where are you going? We can't even finish the convo?" She asks, furrowing her eyebrows in confusion.
"I'll call you later on tonight." I say, Standing in the door way then giving her a warm smile.
Hillary looks up at me furrowing her eyebrows giving me an unsure look as if she doesn't believe me.
"I promise." I conclude.
"Okay...go!" She says smiling and fanning her hands for me to leave.
I run off to the car that my mom let me borrow. Which I am surprised she did because she barely trust me to even have her second car.
As I drive the directions on where to go are coming back to me. I spend twenty minutes from Hillary's house driving to our special place.
I know I am at the right place when I spot Lucas's car parked in the grass the same area as last time.
I hop out of the car slamming the door behind me before I make my way through the clustered trees and bushes.
When I get to the end I see the cliff and Lucas sitting looking over at the water and other trees. I don't say anything but quietly make my way over to sit right next to him.
I can feel Lucas look over at me but I keep looking straight ahead as if I don't notice.
"Still so beautiful." He says, still looking at me but then turns his head foreword.
"I know the view of the water and trees is mind blowing. It's so....pretty." I reply back.
Lucas leans to lie on his back then puts both hands behind his head and looks up at the sky.
"I wasn't talking about the view." He says, which catches me by surprise.
I turn my head behind me to look down at him and smile uncontrollably.
"I didn't see that coming." I say the lie down right next to him.
I cross my fingers on my stomach and look up at the sky.
"How do you feel about today?" He asks.
"It was fine. I don't see how you aren't bothered by the stares though."
"I'm use to it."
"It must be weird having everyone be all over you and your business all the time."
"I like the attention sometimes but not all the time. It gets kind of annoying. But trust me I am no celebrity." He assures me.
"It seems like it. They probably know everything about you." I tease.
"Probably but not everything."
"Why? Is there something I don't know about you?" I asks him.
"My last name."
"What about it?"
"Gray isn't my real last name. Well it's part of it." He says, making me turn my head to my right to look at him.
"What is your real last name?"
"I don't like it. It sounds weird. Gray sounds better."
"Come on just tell me it can't be that bad."
"It's Graham." He admits.
"Really! Lucas come on it's not even bad! I like it." I yell.
"I don't! Gray sounds better anyway. It's simple too."
"Well I'm going to call you Graham not Lucas or Lucas Gray because I like it and that is your real name. Well last name but you get the point."
"Fine but only you can call me that. Don't tell anyone either""Good and I won't."
"What about you?" Lucas asks.
"What about me?" I asks right back.
"Is there something I don't know about you? I mean we might as well get this out the way. We are together now."
All that pops up in my head when he said that is my past in Florida. I don't think the past details about how stressful it was back then has to be brought back up now.
Besides if he never knows and my Florida past won't be brought back to interfere with my life now, then there is no need to mention it.
It would literally haunt me every day if my past came back into my life now.
"Nothing really." I say simply.
"You sure?" He asks as he stands up and looks down at me.
"I'm positive." I say standing up then wrap my arms around his neck.
We are now standing face to face with a smile spread across the both of our faces. I can feel his hands slowly wrapping around my waist and pulling me closer.
He leans down a little to slowly kiss my lips. His soft lips are moving in sync with mine and we are both passionately engaged in each other right now. I slowly try and pull away to break the kiss but something keeps pulling me back into it, while my eyes still stay closed.
We finally pull away speechless and a uncontrollable smile comes across my face. He does the same.
"I have to go. My mom is going to want the car back at a certain time." I say breaking the silence.
"I understand." He says as we stand there with our foreheads still connected to each other.
I pull away and turn around to walk off. I reach the trees to go back to my car before I am interrupted.
"NaSia!" Lucas yells from afar.
"You still going to come to our stupid games this weekend?" He asks.
"Sure! Just for you!" I yell back, laughing a little.
"You are the best, my New York baby!" He yells back and points. I feel kind of embarrassed but good at the same time about what he just called me.
I make a small face of embarrassment and he sees it.
"Don't look like that! If you can call me Graham, I at least have to get something from it too!" He yells.
I give him a thumbs up and laugh before walking off again once more. The name has to grow on me. It's not the bad though. At least I get to call him Graham.
It's only fair.
