Don't wanna be torn

Chapter 22

The last bell of the day rings and I try and run through the crowd quickly to get to my locker. When I reach my locker I scramble to get my notebooks out to my backpack.

When I am finally done I slam my locker closed and turn around to find a person that I least expected to be there.

"So you have the audacity to actually be in a relationship with him!" Rebeca says angrily.

I notice none of her minions are behind her at this moment and I begin to get a little worried.

"That has nothing to do with you." I say calmly trying to keep all of my mixed emotions in right now.

"Yes! It really does! You are going to regret this!" She yells.

"How? Just face it Lucas doesn't want you." I say causing her to be taken back my words.

"I hate you. I hate you so much NaSia McCall." Rebeca says scowling at me before walking away furious.

I roll my eyes and exhale deeply. I dislike Rebeca so much. I wish she would just go away and not worry about me. Obviously Lucas doesn't want her and she is just an obsessive bitch.

I look at my phone for the time too see I won't be able to make it to my bus on time. I stand up and make my way to the front of the school building. I walk out side to see that just about everyone is gone.

I look over to the parking lot to see Daniel getting in his truck. I yell his name but he doesn't hear me. I start to run full speed his direction before he pulls out of the parking lot.

When I reach the passengers side of the window I tap on the glass really hard to catch his attention. He jumps and looks at me like I'm crazy because I am sweating and breathing heavily by now.

"What the hell dude?!" He says, and rolls the window down so we can hear each other clearly.

"I missed my bus can you give me a ride, please? I also need you to tutor me tonight." I ask nicely and force a smile.

He looks at me unamused, not buying the whole nice thing.

"Come on!..... I'll double the pay for you to tutor me." I plea.

"Deal!" He says simply with a smile on his face and unlocks the door.

I hate how the only way he will do something for me is if I have money. Soon I'm going to be broke.

"I can't tutor you right now though maybe later on tonight. I'm busy." He says and begins to drive out of the school lot.

"Why? What are you doing?" I ask.

"Going to this place Lucas was talking about."
He catches my attention when he says Lucas's name.

"Cool. I'm coming and of course my good friend Hillary is too." I say with a smirk.

"Way ahead of you there. Lucas and I already planned this."

"Planned what?"

"Inviting you guys to this place but not so soon. Since I already have you with me, I might as well bring you with me now." He says as his eyes shift back and forth to the rear view mirrors.

"So what's supposed to happen at "this place"? Is there anything special about it?" I ask curiously.

"Nah, just chill, talk, hang out. It's just going to be between the four of us." He says in a casual tone.

"Oh." I say simply.

I then begin to realize we are in an area I no longer recognize. I assume we are going to the place he was talking about. I didn't know he meant now.
