"What do I do?" I ask while looking up at Jessica and Essence.

"Huh?" They both said in unison.

I groan, "I knew y'all wouldn't believe me. Psh, I don't even believe it myself."

"What?" Jessica gawked and Essence grinned, "I told you. Didn't I? I knew they had something going on on the low."

I avoided them as I ate my food.

"Aye!-" Jess slapped my hand, "-Stop eating! And tell me from the beginning!"

I shrugged, "That's everything. Can you give me some advice?" I asked curiously.

We walked out the Starbucks together.

"How long has she liked you?" Jess asked and I shrugged again, "A month or two? Maybe more..." I said more quietly.

"Y'all really hated each other at first." Essence laughed and I said, "I wouldn't say hate. That's a strong word."

"I wonder... what Jae likes about you..." Jessica said throwing shots.

"What you mean?" I grumbled.

"Girl. Jenae is attractive." Essence laughed, "Stop being jealous."

"Thank you!" I shout while glaring at Jess.

She shrugged nonchalantly.

We all then laughed.

My phone began to buzz in my pocket and I quickly pulled it out in a haste.

"Is it Jae?" Jess asked and I hushed her.

It was an unknown number.

I answered the phone call anyways.

"Hello?"

"You want a job at the office?"

"Assistant Hobs?" I asked instantly recognizing the voice of the guy at the front desk. "A job at the office?"

"You want it or not?!" He snapped into the phone and I answered, "O-Oh! Yeah!"

"Start Monday at 9 AM. Bye." He hung up before I said anything and I sighed.

How'd he even get my number...

I stared at my phone blankly before shrugging it off.

"Assistant Hobs wants you as office aid?" Jess asked and I looked at her.
